The Hillary Coalition

Latinos

Working class caucasians

The elderly

Single women

Asians

She has become the voice of the most vulnerable members of society and she will not abandon them nor will they abandon her... Sometimes you can judge a person by those who follow them:

1. And other people who are oblivious to how hard it will be to get her elected
People who may have their hearts in the right place, but don't understand, or don't have the education to know that Hillary is radioactive.

8. I Did Post Grad Work In American Government At Florida State University
Edited on Fri Feb-08-08 03:34 AM by DemocratSinceBirth
I attended the year after Eleanor Smeal was a grad student there...

If you think Senator Obama is a slam dunk I will remind you that President Dukakis (sic) had a seventeen point post convention lead that he turned into a eight point election day deficit...That is not meant to besmirch the senator but to illustrate the vagaries of politics...

We can learn from history...Team Clinton has faced the Republicans eleven times and beat them nine of those times with the first two losses occurring before many people posting on this site were born...I like their odds...

2. Many of this coalition group simply don't know Barack well enough.....
and remember only Clintons in the White House for 8 years.

Theirs is not a vote against Obama. It is a safe vote based on name rec, for many.

Latinos don't agree that their illegal countrymen and women should be driving around without a license or auto insurance......many just aren't informed that is is Obama who understands and agrees with them.

and so unfortunately, Hillary's coalition is made up of folks who simply aren't familiar enough with Obama, and not much more. That's why, as long as Obama has enough time to combat 8 years of vague memories, he has a great chance of moving voters from Hillary's coalition into his corner.

11. I Don't Think That's What She Meant
And I admire passionate advocacy... I don't like passionate bashing...

If Barack Obama was running against any other live person in the world other than Hillary I would be supporting him with the same passion I am supporting her...

3. I disagree. She is the voice for the lobbyists and the corporate powers who fund her campaign.
