To some of the Obama and Hillary Supporters...
To Hillary supporters-

If Obama wins the nom, will he/his supporters still be Cult members, Jones like, hollow. pathetic, stupid, brainwashed, Right-wingers, koolade drinkers, hypocrites, obamababies, nazi-like, elitist's, Obamatrons, Emo-bamatrons, star-struck, etc.... ?

To Obama supporters-

If Hillary wins the nom, will she/her supporters still be hillhounds, hillbots, billary supporters, supporters of a "duped wife", a bush clone, zombies, Clintonites, union busters, Killer of children, "Clinton-mindfuckers"' , clueless, vote suppressors, etc.... ?

Yea, I missed several on both sides, but I was getting to depressed to keep listing all of them. Anyway, I'm having a hard time reconciling all of these things being said, and believing both sides will come together in the end after so much animosity has developed. Are people here that forgiving of each other once they've been attacked, or.... is there a group of people here who don't give a shit about everyone else as long as their political agenda is being met.

You guys are ALL Democrats for god sakes, start acting like one. (and please don't tell me this shit is normal, for that would only make it more horrible)

2. If Hillary wins the nomination, I'll become one of her supporters, so...
I hardly think I'd be calling them names. Then again, I already don't call them names, so I guess this doesn't apply to me. :P

4. I never stated that to begin with. And do agree with you.
However, Clintonites I wouldn't think is a slur of sorts... More a way of speaking of supporters in her camp. Like Illinoisans, Texans, etc, etc. Clintonians would be an alternative, although the later doesn't sound a nice.

5. My ignore list keeps growing...
but my blood pressure is getting lower. :-)

There's no stopping the bullshit. Ignore it. I'm getting tired of reading the "can't we all just get along" posts too.
Apparently we can't. Let it go. You'll feel better, I do. ;)

8. i never asked
for "can't we all just get along". I merely pointed out the extreme extent both groups have gone to "one-up" their perceived opponent.

6. Sweat in training or bleed in battle
This is training.

Aversion to conflict is what has ruined our party for the last 25 years. It is high time, in the words of Obama Girl, to get the "Eye of the Donkey".

If you don't like conflict, hide the forum. We like to rumble around here. No insult is intended, but this area isn't to everyone's tastes. That's okay. But it does serve a necessary purpose.

7. I understand your post,
but don't agree with it, sorry. Aversion to conflict may have been what ruined the party for the last 25 years, but not in the manner you are suggesting. Vetting a candidate is fine. I'm asking where in that process does calling each groups supporters disgusting names come in. Critiquing the candidates, of course.. but if you want practice for the GE, there are more than enough RW's on the net to hone your skills.. using a fellow Dem as a suedo-punching bag is hard to justify (not you specifically).

10. Both candidates have serious supporters.
The way to tell a Clinton supporter from a Hillbot, or an Obama supporter from an Obamite is to put up a serious policy issue. If they answer with belittling comments, slander and name calling, you can draw your own conclusions.

And that is why the Designers gave us "Ignore".

9. Name calling is lame.
And it is an ad-hominem attack, which is pretty worthless as an argument.

11. I don't presume to think all Obama supporters are cult- like.
I voted for Hillary in the primary only because I dislike Obama more and don't find him to be any more progressive than she is. I am not really an intense supporter of her though I think she is getting piled on unfairly and most of it is exaggerated or fabricated bullshit though I also do see her faults that many point out. I also think many of the more rabid anti-Hillary folk here are bat shit insane. I believe Obama is who the DEM establishment and establishment media punditry are rooting for and I believe there is an anti-Hillary pile on going on from all quarters. I am seriously surprised Hillary is doing as well as she is doing. I expect Obama to win, in the end.
