I do not think I have felt so down about politics since
the early morning hours after the 2004 elections.

I have seen my first, second, then third choices for president leave the race and still looked forward to a Dem in the Whitehouse.

I have read, listened and researched each time the selection became smaller and moved forward toward a Dem in the Whitehouse.

Yesterday, I had the chance to hear Chelsea answer questions about her mother's policies and plans for our future. Then heard Obama's speech in Omaha. And I looked forward to either of these great Dem's in the Whitehouse.

Then I read some letters to editor, read more posts on DU and hear Obama supporters say how they can never vote for Clinton, and Clinton supporters say they can never vote for Obama. Now I sadly realized I can only look forward to another four to eight years of a repub in the Whitehouse.

1. I'm voting Democratic
If a week-old ham sandwich is selected as our presidential nominee, I'll vote for it.

Even if it IS in a cult.

--p!
One tavern ham on Krishna with pickles and chips, please.

2. Perhaps the only situation is Clinton/Obama or an Obama/Clinton ticket?
It may be the only way to unite the Dem party......
It would be a really sad situation for the Dems to lose the election due to a splintered party...

4. That would be great.
But if it does not happen I fear we are screwed.

5. I have to believe we will all settle down and vote for the Dem.
I am ready to vote for whoever gets the nomination. I really like them both. We are lucky to have both. It is their fans that I sometimes have a problem with. Both of them are flawed candidates. Both of them are human. Either of them could kick Republican ass in the fall and I plan on doing whatever I can to make that happen! My dream would be a Clinton/Obama ticket. Can you just imagine? We would have 3/4ths of the country in the Democratic corner! A girl can dream......
