Do you have Republican family/friends? Who are they supporting?
My dad is a republican for some reason or another. He HATES McCain. He voted in Georgia's primary for, get this, Mittens! He says he'll stay home if McCain is the republican. He said he'll not vote for Hillary- but I doubt he could pull the "democrat" lever in an election without a few drinks- so take that for what it's worth.

Which repukes are your friends and family voting for? Do they have good reasons?

2. My whole family is either Republican or apathetic. My mom voted for Romney...
my dad and I have a long-standing agreement not to discuss politics, as he's to the right of my mom. I imagine they'll both vote for McCain. There's no chance at all they'd vote for Hillary, but I might be able to get Mom to vote for Obama. We'll see!

3. Willard M. R-money, but that was before last week.
They're probably too busy wringing their hands at this point to know what to do.

If I do, I don't know about it because I say things that are code for "don't you dare bring up right-wing shit in my presence or there's going to be some serious head-bangin' going on."

5. My extended family...
on my mother's side is Repub... and they were all giddy over Fred Thompson. I have no idea who they will be voting for, but I am sure they are right torn as the get all their info from right wing radio. I'm sure they have no use for McCain either, as they can't talk about anything without bitching about illegals.

6. Evangelics for Huck. Business types for Romney. States rights for Paul
I don't know any Republicans that like McCain. I suspect he's winning on name ID among old time Republicans who don't pay that much attention to the news.

15. Exactly.
My mother votes Republican because her father told her to in 1947, and in all that time she's never taken the time to sit down and realize that a) her father wouldn't recognize or endorse today's Republican party and b) her social and economic beliefs actually conform more to the Democrats.

11. Both my parents, previous Bush voters. Obama if he gets the nod.
We've discussed why - they will not vote for McCain (crazy) and do not like Hillary (partly because they never thought much of Bill Clinton). They will vote for Obama because they think he will work with everyone, regardless of political party.

19. Yes.. Several.. most of them didn't "Love" any of them, but they do all seem to HATE McCain
Not sure why.. they won't give me a specific reason. "He's to soft on abortion and gay rights".. umm.. but he is against being pro-life and pro-marriage... right? So I guess i don't get that. He wants to make it states rights, but he's still very conservative on this. Maybe that's not good enough.

I dunno. Most of the Repugs I know like Huckabee.. but hopefully he doesn't have a shot in hell. That guy scares me more then McCain - by a long shot.
