Poll question: Do you want to see the Dream Ticket?
Edited on Fri Feb-08-08 02:47 PM by Bleachers7
Do you want to see Clinton\Obama or Obama\Clinton? I don't want to know if you want to see one or the other.

11. You think Al Gore....
the ex-vice president of the united states should be the number 2 man for a rookie senator?

3. The are diametrically opposed. Can't even imagine either of
them wanting to be with the other. Not Hillary - she wouldn't want to be upstaged in the charisma category. Not Obama - she's too much a part of the system he wants to change.

4. I don't see it as workable either way. The Clintons would freeze Obama out
as they did Gore or else he'd be constantly pulling a knife out of his back!

19. I bet they all want Hillary as president. I want OBAMA to be president and he sure doesn't need
Hillary (and Bill) as his VPs. He could choose another woman like Barbara Boxer or a guy like Jim Webb. Hillary's not on my list at all.

They don't know about all the infighting. They just like all the candidates.

i still wonder if this is too much change for one ticket. I think America is ready for one of them at a time, but not two.

12. If it wins in November then I'd like to see it
But lets face it. If Clinton loses in November, and Obama isn't on the ticket, he'll be the frontrunner four years from now.

I certainly hope that doesn't happen because I don't think we can afford four years of McLame.

13. Other..
I'd vote for this ticket, but as an Obama supporter - i'd rather not see it.

First, if it had to be - i want him on the top of the ticket.

Second, if Hillary is the Presidential Nom, I want Obama as far away as possible. He wouldn't really be "Vice President". He'd be "Vice Vice President" under Bill.. sorry, that's the way i'd see it. And, any scandal that breaks out if she's on top will embroil Obama, thus reducing his chances of a successful bid on his own in 2012 or 2016.

Talk about a group wanting to beat the "hope" out of you.. and pound in the same-line thinking.. the Clintons can do that with their eyes closed.

Run Obama Run.. far away from this.

20. Neither one has anything to offer the other.
Both are relatively inexperienced Senators from blue states. They will both want a red state VP with lots of foreign policy experience.

25. I think that may be the OLD math ....
What I mean is that we ALWAYS try to balance the ticket in some way. That's what got us Lieberman as Gore's running mate. And Edwards was not enough to help Kerry over the top.

The turn out that each generates is the difference this time ... if they could generate this ticket ... Barack's folks would turn out ... knowing that he'd be well positioned for the next 8 years.

And I'm greddy .... McCain has 4 years, tops ....

I want the next 16 years.

and focus solely on Clinton. And I'm not confident enough in the people running the Clinton campaign to fight against that.

32. Let them ignore him then while he goes around the country making powerful speeches and pulling the
rug out from under them.

John McCain is going to walk away with his ass in his hat. The only question we have to work out is who gets the honor of handing it to him.

Oh! I have a new tag line!

And I would be happy to accept either of them on the topside, even though I would favor Clinton.

34. Well, I wouldn't mind it that much, but I wonder if too many bridges have been burned
For that to really come about.

I also think that both of them need to have someone with a military background on their ticket to be competitive in November. Wes Clark comes to mind.

But if they could come together and heal the rifts in the party, and unite all Democrats together, that would be a wonderful thing.

Hillary has never advocated for real campaign finance or real open government. Her ties to Indian businessmen alone should tell you she's got no intention on changing the system.
