Why does HIllary want Obama to appear with her tomorrow in Maine
Let me offer an answer to that: First of all it's something you don't do if you feel you've secured the votes you need. She might feel that she outshines him, but there's little evidence to back that up. I think it's simple, she's afraid he'll vastly outdraw her and that she'll be overshadowed.

3. He's already got his own Maine events scheduled for Saturday
It takes a lot of effort to get these appearances organized on short notice. Why should he throw away all the effort and $$$ that's been expended for his events just to please her?

4. Yep, she needs him lot more than he needs her. She doesn't have the draw
he does, and the only way to appear she does is to appear together.

17. Because it is.
If you think the invitation isn't politically motivated, or at least hasn't been politically vetted by advisors, then you're missing the boat. Same goes for Obama's bullshit.

He should treat her like a stalker, and avoid being in the same town with her, if possible. No good can come from his allowing her to pull more of her typical contrivances. Probably trying to fabricate another SNUB moment, or make him kiss her ass or hold her chair for her.

She reminds me of Carmela Soprano, more and more. Always some not so clever agenda working.

I heard some things!

My (grown) son, an Edwards turned Obama supporter, too, first observed that to me. I had to admit it rang true.

9. She wants his supporters to actually see him beyond a cult of personality.
She wants his supporters to see him "on the issues." Issues which he is inferior on in every respect.

10. She hoping she can revive the Clinton/Obama ticket idea....
She knows it is the only way she can get the nomination...if people think she will have Obama on the ticket. She wants another love fest like the last debate in hopes of getting the media to go ga-ga over it again.

15. Bingo.....
...she wants to be seen publicly with him as much as possible to promote the idea of "Dream Ticket".

She wants to subliminally tell voters "you don't have to choose. You can have us BOTH!"

We don't want you both, Hillary. A large part of what is appealing about Obama is that he is NOT YOU, Hillary.

To cleave himself to you is to lose everything that we like about him. He'd be selling out to the very thing that he is fighting against.

22. Obama will fill the Bangor Auditorium which is much larger than Clinton's venue at UMO
and if all the local scuttlebutt materializes into actual caucus participation (a big "maybe" due to the prediction of snow on Sunday) - Obama will win Maine handily....

16. Ummmm. I thought it was an invitation to a Town Hall Meeting?
She just wants exposure. As a voter, I want to see our candidates in head to head competitions as often as possible. Isn't this how we get to know him/her better? If he invited her to do a Town Hall Meeting, you would think he was brilliant. But her motives are always in question. She is being a politician and so is he. She is calling him out to see if he responds or retreats. If she was afraid of him, she would never risk it. If he does not respond, she will be able to say he is afraid to debate the issues. It is just politics and they are both playing the game imo.

27. How about this: He'll attend her little town hall meeting if she'll agree to attend one of his..
rallies first....

She's trying to draw him into her setting... how about playing it the other way, Hillary?

Why wouldn't she want to join him in front of 18,000 enthusiastic YOUNG Democrats?

He'll even let her speak first.... (tee hee)

Curling and River Dance, that is.

Take away his advantage in Basketball and the Electric Slide.

Can't you see her doing the Michael Flatley and skating with that broom?

... by giving that up and appearing with Hillary instead?

Nothing.

Which is probably why she's pushing it.
