1. This is important, please take action, esp. in light of the news
about the possible Clinton bias in the Committee.

15. Here is a GOOD form letter! COUNT THE VOTERS!
Edited on Fri Feb-08-08 07:56 PM by REDFISHBLUEFISH
How can you clowns not count Michigan and Florida voters after 2000? Are you conceding the State to republicans? Obama advertised in Florida against the rules and still lost. They showed up, they voted! I thought every vote counted? If the Democrats do not count our voters , I am sure Republicans will!

8. Yeah, right. The votes would be under a false pretense, then.
That the delegates were to not count. The turnout would have been higher, campaigning would have taken place, the results would have been vastly different. And you know it.

13. Haha, you guys are getting tired
False pretenses. The votes have to be under pretenses that the delegates would count. Campaigning would be allowed, turnout would be higher, and you know it to be true.

5. I Don't Think There Is A Good Answer To This
Seems pretty unfair to seat them now when candidates were told they wouldn't be and thus refrained from campaigning there. And if we do seat them now, why would any other state abide by the rules. Yikes, I guess I've made up my mind.

7. I have already. Whenever the DNC send me another email for donations
I fire back----not until I see that you don't change the rules once the game was in play. They said NO to counting delegates from MI and FL, and no one was to campaign. Obama played by the rules---Hillary left her name on the ballot and went to FL. It is so wrong to even consider counting them. Having a caucus in those states after the other contests are done seems fair to me. Those states and Clinton, did not play by the rules.

11. So, you want them to count Hillary at 56% based on the votes under a false pretense?
Wouldn't you rather the state have another crack at it, complete with campaigning? Or you are staunchly for Hillary, which would explain everything.

14. What part of "It would violate Michigan Law" are you
Obama supporters unable to understand? The Republican Machine in this state is Waaaaaaaaaaay ahead of you. According to BOTH Republican AND Democratic legislators in this state, holding either another Primary OR a caucus WOULD VIOLATE MICHIGAN LAW, which allows each party ONE and ONLY ONE primary or caucus each Presidential election. In order to change this , the law would have to be changed, and the Republican legislators have been blanketing the airwaves stating THEY will not allow this law to be changed.
Now, you, like other Obama supporters can laugh and suggest screwing the LAW - but not party rules - but those Michigan Republicans have been calling the Democrats the biggest hypocrites in the world for their inability to hold a Primary "correctly" all over local television for weeks now, and that meme has taken hold already.
They have also stated that they will not allow one penny of Michigan money or one piece of voting machinery to be used for another primary. If you think you or anyone on Obama's side can defeat the Republican machine in this state, well come on over and give it a try.
There will be no additional primary OR caucus. Period. I don't know why you Obama supporters are unable to understand how things work in this state, unless it's because you've never bothered to find out the FACTS.
So, go ahead and suggest another primary all you want, but know that doing so proves your ignorance of what CAN or CANNOT be legally allowed in this state.
So, understand this; your "rathers" and my "rathers" are freaking beside the point - there will be NO other primary or caucus. But, like I said - come on over and try to defeat the Michigan Republican machine in this state. I'm sure you'll do it.

16. Some of the Clinton supporters sure learned from Bush in 2000
Tear the friggin' party apart by seating the Michigan and Florida delegates and watch McCain take the oath of office 1/20/09!

an ILLEGAL primary? Screw the law - because "party rules" are sacred?

19. Nice rant
Giving Hillary 56% or so of the delegates is not the answer. The state leadership of MI shouldn't have broken the rules, they screwed the voters over.
