Republicans Are Loving This!
After Bush's disastrous presidency, the Democratic Party should be more united than ever. However, since there are two superstar candidates, the party is more polarized than ever. It's not Clinton's fault, or Obama's fault. Both campaigns have to act almost as if this is a general election and both sides have added to the division through statements, distortions, etc. Plus the MSM is adding fueling the fire because the dynamics make for good TV.

However, the party should look toward the future. Clinton and Obama have a chance to make history and great change for many years to come. A woman and an African-American! I'm hoping for a Clinton-Obama ticket, followed by an Obama ticket in 2016.

But no matter what you want or who you're supporting, please stop this fighting. It's alright to disagree, but recently it's been overwhelming. It's embarrassing to come to this forum and seeing all the bickering and sickening jokes, when it should be filled with excitement and not trolling.

5. The party isn't all that polarized.
DU is polarized. The party is simply having an election for our nomination. That heated contest, by the way, it turning on millions of new voters. This competition is good for us. Democrats are going to be campaigning in the spring in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas... state's our people haven't had to organize and reach out to since 1988!

This contest is the best thing that could happen to us. We'll be a MUCH stronger party in the fall for this experience. And frankly, Republicans are hating it; they hate our enthusiasm, they hate our participation, and they are bitterly jealous of our HUGE voter turn outs.

7. Hey, we'll fight each other until we're bruised and bloody
and broken, but come election day we'll all be out casting our votes for the nominee. Just wait.

8. They shouldn't be loving this.
Right now the person who's leading their ticket is a 71 year old man who doesn't seem to know when he's coming or going and the imbecile who is currently occupying the white house has alienated so many people that the person we nominate has a high probability of being elected.

They can laugh at the in-fighting and the bickering but in the end it will be the Democratic nominee, whomever that is, who will win the election even with Diebold's interference.
