Hillary vs. Obama in Washington. OH my!
Edited on Fri Feb-08-08 06:29 PM by TwoSparkles
Look at the first paragraph of this article.

SEATTLE -- Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama competed for the loyalties of Washington state's Democrats Friday, with Clinton packing a small college gym in Tacoma and Obama following up his surprising endorsement from Gov. Chris Gregoire with a Seattle appearance before 18,000 people.

Inside Seattle's KeyArena, Obama spoke of health care, the environment and hope. The arena, home of the Seattle SuperSonics, was filled to capacity and Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels estimated 3,000 people were turned away at the door.

----
No wonder Hillary is lowering expectations about Washington! She's all ready pointing to three nurses who have to work
on Saturday (and can't make it to the caucus) as evidence that she won't do as well. I wonder if those nurses were also
denied entry to that "packed gym"?

Wow.

1. 18,000 inside, 3000 in outside plaza, and more who were turned away
It's an incredible turnout!

2. Obama will win 3 more states tomorrow.
It's going to be a good week. I'm looking ahead to Ohio and Texas, we need to close the gap and win there, too.

I believe we can.

3. It's almost like she's not trying, or doesn't have to.

that's worrisome, considering all the sleazy other ways a Presidency can be had, besides the voters.

9. Someone should correct me if I am wrong, but I believe I heard that almost 40% of CA ballots were
early voting -- as with many ST states.

John Edwards earned over 170,000 votes in CA (4%) and he dropped out/suspended a week prior.

12. There are 10 primaries on February...
...and Hillary is not doing well in any of them.

Obama trounces her in at least 4 of the next 10 contests.

She probably won't have one win--out of ten. She probably won't have
a win until March 5--if even then.

A solid month of impressive wins and gathering momentum can leverage Obama
right into those March 5 states (OH, TX) that Clinton is counting on.

He's doing so well...I'm scared.

I feel an implosion coming on.

Does anyone else actually think that Hillary is just going to stand around and
watch this race slip from her fingers?

No wonder she asked for money now. She won't be able to get it after these losses.

18. May the best person win
I have no control over what will happen, so all I can do is sit back and accept the will of the people in those state that haven't voted yet.

8. I watched some of Hillary's presentation and all of Obama's.
Besides the vast difference in crowd size, there was an obvious difference in the demographic composition of the crowd. I could only pick out a small handful of supporters at the Hillary rally who were not senior white women. The Obama rally, per usual, was comprised of all different types of people - men and women, white and non-white, young and old... Amazing contrast.

Or soon to be.

Just don't EVER underestimate a Clinton. They are driven by the quest for power and scorched earth is nothing to a wo/man scorned.

15. I agree...
...when you look at all of the TEN Feb contests--he definitely wins at least 9.
He's at 80 percent in Louisiana (tomorrow). She didn't make any appearances
in Nebraska (caucus tomorrow), but Obama did. And then there's Washington, where
she's all ready lowering expectations.

She's all ready complaining about how unfair the Washington caucus is. Oh Lordy.

I'm just a little nervous. I don't see her taking this like the captain of the Titanic,
who gracefully went down with the ship.

I'm braced for some serious dirty tricks...

13. Hillary may have to start going to Obama's events to have a crowd
His overflows are larger than her crowds!!

She's the opening act no one listens to, and everyone boos until the main act comes on.

Obama!!
