who should Hillary pick for her VP ?
i would like to hear especially from Hillary supporters who you think she should pick for her running mate should she win the nomination. and why ?

i think she plans to pick Evan Bayh , but with everything that Obama is doing she may feel she needs him to win the GE. to keep indies, his donors, african american voters etc. it might just be a question of whether Obama will accept.

8. those are good choices
Richardson has shown he is willing to defend her. Wes Clark to offset McCain on military and he was a great surrogate for Kerry and other Dems . Ted Strickland for obvious reasons(OHIO).

7. Obama, 100%
I don't appreciate the "let's tear the party apart if I lose" extortionism, but there's something to it. Right or wrong, it's a legitimate concern.

I would park Obama in two or three swing states and let him work his retail politics magic in a concentrated environment.

She could make a play for Georgia. He would keep liberals and black voters happy. He endorsed her in the primary too.

12. The problem for Hillary is that she needs to find someone down ticket that people won't like more
then her, but her unlikable ratings are so high that there are very few people that could run with her and still be palatable.

13. Kweisi Mfume
I watched him on CSPAN when he was in the house. If you look up the word "brilliant" in the dictionary, there's a picture of him.

For those who don't know him,

Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 01:59 AM by robbedvoter
And I strongly dislike all your choices - Nunn, Kerrey - all backstabbers of Clinton and members of Bloomberg coalition thinghie. Your posts reek of non-DU.
I also dislike John Breaux - he was that much less GOP than Zell Miller.

27. Clark, Strickland or Webb
I've always thought it would be Clark. Strickland and Webb make more strategic sense.

You can't be afraid of blatantly trying to swerve a few points in a vital state. Just imagine if Gore had identified Bob Graham in 2000. History, as we know it, is completely altered.

But a VP is only worth 3-4 points, and only in his home state. Evan Bayh would be silly, IMO. That doesn't come close to annexing Indiana, which is roughly +18 red in the partisan index.
