So be honest...
Did anyone feel sorry for Mitt Romney personally when he dropped out?

I almost felt as bad for him as I did for John Edwards....though for obvious reasons I liked Edwards more...and thought Romney was a weasle. To me, it seemed like his party pushed him out the door just like what it felt like with Edwards.

I have this thing where I end up feeling sorry for the people personally even if I have not liked what they stood for. I start thinking about how they imagined themself as president, gave so much to the campaigning and then were maybe even personally devasted to think tha they weren't 'popular' enough....I know it's probably just me projecting...but I really feel sorry for the people campaigning on a personal level when things don't work out.

1. Out of curiousity...what did Edwards stand for that you didn't like?

6. I really liked Edwards...
For me, it was between Clinton and Edwards for awhile....I felt bad seeing him go and I think he got asked to leave by the party. I wish he would have truly stayed to the end..even if that meant that Clinton would lose. He brought important discussions about poverty to the table and he just seemed...above the fray.....I really liked him.

2. His speech was nothing more
than his party's line that continuing his campaign would hurt them. I don't know if that's true. It seems to be popular legend. I'm dubious. But, yeah. Not really sorry for him, but he was skewed on the same machinery. Those risks should be obvious, but I'm sure it still comes as a shock to live it.

3. No, I feel sorry for Kucinich
Here's the only guy willing to stand up to the Bush administration and demand impeachment and he gets attacked for everything from his personal appearance to his eating habits.

And he has to go back and fight to keep his Congressional seat because corporate interests are raising vast sums of money against him.

That's how courage is rewarded in our party.

4. No Reason To Feel Sorry For Romney
He will try again in 2012 if he can. Also consider the fact that he made millions off the backs of workers he let go.

I will feel a bit sorry for Hillary if she loses because she really has worked hard and put up with a lot to get where she is. Still she blew it when it counted as far as I am concerned.

It is sad to watch someone's dream die, even a misguided one. All that time and tons of his own money.

All the more sad for us, because he was really beatable!

7. I know. It really is stupid.
I watched Romney call it quits and felt sad...In the end, we're just all people....
