Just my thoughts....
I joined DU quite some time ago, but I do not post often at all, although I read it every single day.

The way that the party is divided, including right here on this site, is the reason I feel Hillary Clinton is the worst possible choice for our nomination. We have one of the most exciting candidates this party or ANY party has ever seen in a presidential contest, and the Clintons stand in the way. Yes, they have the right, but do they truly have a good reason?

Barack Obama inspires people from all walks of life and of all political viewpoints. Hillary is already splitting people apart. No candidate would unite the right more, not just in this election year but against a presidency as a whole.

I'm sad to say that I've lost much of the respect I had for Bill Clinton. I used to admire him a great deal. He has shown me that he is willing to crawl down in the sewer to get what he wants, in the same way the the republican machine is. He has shown that beating the best candidate his party has had in decades is more important then all the ideals he once stood for, or at least wanted people to think he stood for. Shame on him. No it's not just "hardball" politics and how the game is played. We as a party and as a people should be above it.

I know that picking a nominee is a tough process, and it gets heated. We must remain the party of ideas and hope. It's time to move our country away from the Bush and Clinton era. It's time to elect someone who stands a chance to lead us into this new century with a brighter outlook on our future.

I have been a democrat all my life. I vote in every election, and I love my party. I cannot vote for Hillary Clinton. I will not vote for Hillary Clinton. I know many of you don't care, but I'm not the only one. So many people that belong to this party or would support it in November will not cast a vote for Hillary. We can win the day and win back our party....if we nominate Barack Obama.

succumbed to the brainwashing of the MSM.

3. Poster is entitled to his/her own opinion without you calling him/her
brainwashed. :wtf:

How sad is that? Attacking DU posters personally, as though they don't have the sense that you do. How superior are you?

What if someone called you brainwashed? How would you like that? Geeze!

9. Nonsense
Both have been fighting to win as they should. I think most of the really awful things has been said by their supporters.

5. Obama is the one dividing the party.
I am surprised how many people say that they will not vote if Clinton is the nominee. That is divisive.

I, too, have been a Democrat all my life. I have compromised many times. Also, I have never heard to many so-called Democrats say that they will not vote if their candidate is not the nominee. That tells me that Barack is doing something to divide our party.

6. No
I would proudly vote for any of the candidates our party had this year, Biden, Dodd, Edwards, Kucinich, Gravel, Obama. I can't support Hillary Clinton.

I'm not going to vote for someone just because they claim to be a democrat. This is not about compromise, it's about competence.

11. what tripe

Clinton certainly is a dem and the differences between Clinton and McCain are stark. And she's certainly competent. Thanks for considering the SC so trivial. Thanks for considering the environment nothing to worry about.

14. LOL
The differences between Clintona and McCain are stark, I agree. While I don't agree with McCain's views, I'm not as turned off by him as a person. The Clinton camp will do anything, no matter how low, to get what they want. They're as bad as Rove, and I won't support more of the same slime and garbage from ANYONE, even if they are far closer to my views on the issues.

Too many people on this forum are worried about keeping a republican out of office, which is good, but they're not focused on keeping bad democrats out of office. This country needs to be united, and we need to have a candidate with integrity, that is not willing to crawl in the mud and scum to win, no matter the party. I want to see a democrat win this election so bad I can taste it, but I will not vote for four to eight more years of the same crap we've had since 1980. We need to move away from the Clinton and Bush era with great haste.

8.  I see just as many people supporting Clinton saying the same thing
in reverse, but let me give you a gentle reminder: DU is NOT real life. The new Pew Foundation survey finds that dems are overwhelmingly satisfied with these two candidates, like both and will vote for whoever the nominee is. Neither is dividing the party. And you might want to check out the "I won't vote for Obama" threads before you cast stones. I'm an Obama supporter who, like the vast majority of Obama supporters, will vote for Hillary if she's the nominee.

You need to get some perspective.
