At least that's the idea being thrown around in this piece, especially if McCain takes Florida's Governor for his VP...

"Of course McCain has many other considerations, too. One name which has floated about lately is that of Charlie Crist, governor of Florida, which would lock up Florida for the Republicans. A potential Democratic response in the form of Gov. Ted Strickland (D-OH) or Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) might be precluded if Clinton were forced to take Obama or Obama were forced to take Clinton."

1. Can you please take someone else...
I've lived in Ohio for 14 years and these are the first two Democrats to win statewide in that time. I would like to keep them around for awhile. Can't you borrow somebody from Michigan or Pennsylvania?

5. Hey, I agree with you...I also hate to see Senator Jim Webb (D-VA.)
be a VP...We have great chance to have 2 Democratic senators from Virgina by 2009, as Mark Warner will almost certainly defeat the Republican challenger in November....Our margin in the senate is slim as it is, I hate to see Democratic senators leave from states where its been difficult to elect them....
