Obama fans! Did you know he won the state championship in basketball?

Barack Obama aka Barry the Bomber
His basketball years

Did you know that he was on the State Championship basketball team, where he was called "Barry the Bomber" because of his sweet outside jumper?

Check him out

This will be useful in the general election when he runs against Grumpy McCain and his army of Lilliputians.

This is a candidate who will win the young vote, and part of that is being a figure who fits into the world they know and understand. His basketball play is just one aspect of his career, but it shows a degree of excellence and dedication, and it's a hell of a lot better than being a Goldwater Girl in high school.

1. He's got skills! And on the second video, he took a reporter's fluff piece
and turned it into a serious discussion about the need to invest in our schools!

9. Yes, that's why I added it. He turned it into money for schools.
Very smart move by Obama, too.

10. imo low level, borderline racism; the implication is that Obama can run faster, jump higher
as a black basketball player against a bevy of short, white "Lilliputians" (yep, the otherwise insignificant little dudes that tied down Gulliver), it may as well be implied that he'll step & fetch America's hopes & dreams :eyes:

if there were only a youtube of him rap'n & wearing bling, cruising Mickey D's in a Snoopdeville we wouldn't need all this 'election stuff' :patriot:

11. And he wore Jordan's number (23). That's no small thing to me.
The Bulls in the 90s were a special thing. I lived in Chicago (still do) and it was a great time.

Can Obama do for the progressives what Jordan did for the Bulls? Let's hope so.
