About future Supreme Court nominations.........

The President can nominate, but Congress must approve. In selecting our nominee, we should consider which candidate is more likely to have the coat tails to give us a solid majority in Congress. The alternative is at least two and maybe four years of gridlock.

1. Both senators appear to have a good relationship with Congress!

Contrast that with McCain, who has several enemies in Congress.

2. We need 51 Senators and not even one more for that purpose

Just compare Ginsburg to even Kennedy and remember she was confirmed by a GOP Senate.

4. It sucks for everything else

but for the limited purpose of SCOTUS nominees it works well. Though 51 with a Dem. President would be a huge improvement over now.
