HRC leads Obama in delegates. Go Hillary!
Add the 70+ delegates MI awarded to HRC on Friday and she's got a clear lead. Should make the race much more interesting.

without DNC approval?

35. There is an assumption by some they will not be seated. As I understan Dean
from the other day, he is negotiating how (or if--but sounds like they will)- how they will be seated. We do not know the outcome. So, until we hear something definitive, I, for one will try to keep out of these wars on DU.

12. In fact her delegates lead is shrinking

More super delegates are breaking for Obama. After today's primaries and caucuses it will be even closer.

22. Check realclearpolitics.com

Her lead was 70 yesterday, it's 61 today.
There are different sources for superdelegate count, since it's not a formal process. So there may be day-to-day discrepancies, but the tendency is for her lead to shrink.

29. Stop bullying

Here's the exact link: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/democratic_delegate_count.html .
I thought that mentioning realclearpolitics.com would be enough, since they have the "delegate race" link on their homepage.
I provided a link and you insulted me gratuitously. But somehow I'm not expecting an apology.

13. Hillary can make up all the damn delegates she wants, but if the DNC
doesn't recognize them, they don't count. THEY DON"T COUNT. Get it? The Clintons can only make up so many rules, and they are near the end of those times.

17. If you factor out the SD's and just look at that the committed delegates, then
the count is Obama 878 and Clinton 865. Since the SB's can change their votes at any time up to the convention, that number isn't solid. And if you look at other sites, you'll find that the SB numbers are all different. I'm not sure anyone really knows where the super delegates are going yet.

21. no he is right Senator Clinton is the front runner, she is way
ahead, she has locked up the nomination and has established a huge advantage. There is no hope she will be the nominee.

Funny why are both candidates painting themselves as underdogs and their supports keep trying to show them as the frontrunner.

Obama is way way behind.

25. Wow, I didn't know we could pick and choose and
use delegates that don't count. Hmmmmm...Let's see. I will take Edwards' 14 delegates from Iowa and add those to the 650 fictional delegates that he gets from El Salvador. Oh and Hillary and Obama only get one each from the other states so far. Hey looky Edwards is winning! GO JOHN!

26. Keep dreaming. The superdelegates will NEVER decide this contest. They will not
overrule the preference of the voters. Pledged delegates are the only ones that matter. Supers are unpledged. They can-and frequently do-change candidates. The supers will fall into line behind the voters.

Do you have any idea what would happen to the Democratic party if the voters' first black nominee, or the voters' first female nominee, was denied the nomination because party officials decided to take it away from them?

32. How about waiting until tonight when we get the results of states voting?
Because you know, not counting the votes cast already today, no one has voted since super Tuesday, and only super delegates have changed since those results were released.
