WA Democratic Caucus
I just got home from the caucus here in Longview, and Obama was overwhelmingly the favorite. Only two old ladies at my table were for Hillary, because they thought she had called them this morning. I couldn't convince them it was only a recording; lol!

It was very exciting to see so many young people getting invovled for the first time. I only wish it had been better run. The precinct chairmen were clueless, and the woman in charge didn't even have a microphone, so it was imnpossible to make-out most of what she was saying. As a result, I now find myself a precinct chairman and a delegate to the state convetion!

Obama is clearly going to take most of the delegates from Washington State.

5. Our folks in my caucus location in Nebraska were kind of befuddled too, and
no one had microphones--it was really hard to hear people speak in a big room, everyone just kept saying "What?". The people who got up to speak were not exactly inspiring, either--campaigns really need to ensure they have a good, knowledgable and persuasive speaker for their side to convince the uncommitteds--no one really had that. It was a bit of a free-for-all.

11. Reporting from Seattle
Our precinct overwhelmingly supported Obama. My Mom in Sammamish also says Obama was the clear favorite, which was surprising to me since her precinct is more monied and quite a bit older.

The process went relatively smoothly, it seems like a certain amount of chaos is inherent in it. But it was so exciting and cool. I had intentionally been not watching the race too closely to prevent burnout, and I was undecided before I went in. But I am CHARGED UP now for Obama. There was a palpable sense of, I don't know, a tidal wave coming if Obama gets the nod. I didn't sense it with the Hillary supporters. So...go Obama!
