HRC/David Shuster dust up: HRC Get over it...
First, yes, David Shuster did a no-no and has since apologized for it. It's time for HRC and the rest of the Clintons to move on and get over it.

Here we have the one reporter that has shown over and over again his tenacity for good reporting and about the most Democratically friendly news channel being hammered over his idiotic comment. What gets me is how the Clinton's refuse to sacrifice for the good of the party. It is all about them.

Enough is enough. Not to justify Shuster's comment, but the Clinton's should have expected some sort of drivel like this trickle out when the threw Chelsea out there and to be honest and frank, where was all outrage over the treatment of the Bush daughters the past seven years?

People are acting like Shuster is O'Lielly and MSNBC is FauxNews.

6. Actually...
I think Time did a short article on the two comparing some of their recent public service works and in the article it was Jenna who was actually turning it all around while Chelsea was out in the jet setting crowd.

15. If I had the time and desire...
I'd find it because it contrasted the two quite nicely and did show what I stated, which I noticed you did not refute.

And I do like Chelsea, but while she was traveling with the jet setters and doing what, the Bush girl did grow up a lot, start teaching disadvantaged kids and provided civil service to children with AIDs in Africa.

everyone not a liberal must be a piece of trash and unable to lead a productive life. I'm not going to waste time anymore. Do some research. The wild girl has apparently turned the corner and is doing productive things, but heck, forget that.

4. That's an excellent point. Besides, this is about the language of sexism
You just don't go around using the word "pimp". I'm sorry, but it really bothers me. I don't think he institutionally understands the implications.

27. Seriously, you don't know this?
You ever seen "Pimp my ride?" on MTV?

They take this old beaten up wreck of a car and fix it up...way up. Sometimes they add DVD players and Playstations and all this crazy stuff.

Here's the description:

"Pimp My Ride" has an all-new garage. Once again, rap superstar and car enthusiast Xzibit and car customization specialist Mad Mike take aim on the biggest clunkers on the road. Joining them for a new spin on car customization, is GAS -- Galpin..

http://www.mtv.com/ontv/dyn/pimp_my_ride/series.jhtml

Is that why you all are going ballistic?

Are people screaming for Shuster's head really this off? Have you people been watching this guy for the last five years?

My God. He makes one simple, idiotic blunder while turning in hours and hours of great reporting and people are screaming for his head!

Bizarre.

19. no, CNN can't use their commentary because they're aligned with Hillary...
It was a network decision not to have analysts who were aligned with specific candidates during the primary season. Obama didn't "cause" that policy.

14. First of all, they didn't THROW her out there! Second, Schuster's
ridiculous comment wasn't the only uncalled for comments made by MSNBC TV personalities! Chris Matthews, Tucker Carlson have BOTH made a number of very unprofessional remarks. In fact Matthews also apologized for his supidity....although I didn't consider his halfa**ed apology sufficient!

One statement like those can be considered an accident, but the list is getting longer all the time!

17. For one thing, Shuster is not Matthews or Carlson...
Again, I ask, have you even been paying attention to Shuster's reporting during the last five years?

God, where is the forgiveness or redemption here at DU? One mess up and people here want to tar and feather a person and toss them out in the garbage.

More than likely, the guy's mouth was moving faster than his brain, but what the fuck, let's just forget all the reporting he has done on the Iraq War, the Plame outing and critical Bush pieces.

He used a bad word to describe some activity of a 27 year old woman. Let's burn this guy and the stake.....

28. Have you even seen 1 percent of his reports?
Shuster is nothing like Carlson or Matthews and to suggest otherwise is completely disingenuous. And evidently you don't know this, but he used to work at FauxNews and quit when they would not let him do in depth reporting.

25. ...
Looks to me like the ones that can't "get over it" are th Obama supporters. Evidenced by the 20+ threads in GDP - 99% of which were started by Obama supporters.
Hillary made 1 public comment about it. Hillary supporters are still commenting about it in response to the irrational defense of the comment by Obama supporters.

I'm angry with it because here are a bunch of people attacking Shuster while evidently completely ignoring his complete body of work.

And he does have a point about the Clinton's and their attempt to control media access - recall the piece killed by GQ sometime ago.

32. I'll ask you what I asked another...
Have you seen even 1 percent of Shuster's reporting over the last five years?

Not only that, the smug asshole Matthews has been sexist beyond all means with HRC and what did she do when she came face to face with him? She pinched his cheek and flirted with the asshole.

And people want Shuster's hide for this!?!?!

Go look at some of his frigging reporting.

33. Yes, I have.
He is one of the rare media faces that have been relatively fair.

Nobody "wants Schuster's hide". He made a ridiculous accusation that way way over the line - the campaign called the media out as a whole over this accusation, all of it needs to stop. They never singled out Schuster.

saying anything remotely like what was said about Chelsea, about Jenna. Yes, I want you to actually back up what you say and no I won't do your homework for you.
