Barack was awesome in Maine today!!!
7000 people in Bangor Maine is fantastic. Barack ( I feel like I should call him Barry since I shook/held his hand and asked him to keep our constitution safe!) is so sincere and smooth. So many young people just looking with eagerness to be asked to help. When he mentioned helping kids with tuition in exchange for some community service the auditorium just erupted with enthusiastic aplause. As he was leaving he did the sweetest thing. There was a woman right up against the barrier and she was quite tiny and had a severly burned face. She went to shake his hand and he just pulled her into a hug against his chest and closed his eyes for a second. It was so natural and full of love.

I am glad I went. My husband is truly inspired now. He added more of Edwards by saying he would not have lobbiests working in the white house and talked about special interests not setting the agenda.

Can't wait for my caucus tomorrow!

11. I am so sorry you need a diaper change
shitting all over an Obama cheerleading thread is the act of a baby. And I said the same thing today to an Obama supporter in a Clinton cheerleading thread. Get a clue.

10. Wow... I think we got more democratic absentee ballots than that!
Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 07:49 PM by mirrera
I just heard from my husband that CNN said there were 2000 people that didn't make it in! Our House Majority whip said in 20 years of politics in Maine he has never seen anything like this. I am going to ignore that crack about a "tent revival" "circus" up thread. Is that supposed to be the new "cult" meme? Ha this is Maine... I don't think so! Carhart and nose piercings and men in 3 piece suits going "dude' in their cell phones. Women who danced at Woodstock and carpenters and students. My kinda "circus". America!

edited for speling

That's the official count. At least 1000 didn't get returned in time- hope those folks find a way to get to their caucus.

28. The Channel 6 reporter said she never heard a crowd so loud in the BA
She was truly awed by the response.

Good luck to ALL our wonderful Democratic candidates in today's Maine caucus.

Cuz as the saying goes...

As Maine goes...etc.

27. I was in the second group of people they let in.
Not the volunteers, but regular people waiting outside for hours. I got there at 10:30 and when I saw a line started I jumped on.
I you were facing the stage on was on the floor on the right side behind the wheelchairs.
