What is Obama's position on the Fairness Doctrine? (balance in media coverage)
I have heard John Edwards (recently) and Hillary Clinton a while ago, speak in favor of re-instating the "Fairness Doctrine", which is a way to ensure that conservative views can be balanced by progressive views in media outlets.

I have not heard Obama's take on the issue, although I would tend to believe he's in favor of bringing back the law.

Richard Durbin said in 2007, "
“It’s time to reinstitute the Fairness Doctrine,”.

John Kerry once said, ""Well, I think the Fairness Doctrine ought to be there..." (See the same link I posted for Durbin).

Both Durbin and Kerry are both Obama supporters as we speak.

Does anyone have any link to Obama's position on the issue? I hope that now that the Press has been very kind to Obama he doesn't change his mind. Providing balance in the airwaves and printing presses is an essential part of Democracy.

Has anyone heard about his position?
