I’m K&Ring ALL threads on the greatest page that do NOT mention Clinton or Obama. Who’s with me?

I have nothing against either Clinton or Obama, but the flamefests here have become ridiculous. Very little new information about either of them have come out from those threads, which have been drowning out just about anything else discussed here.

So, from now until the end of the primaries, I’m going to recommend every thread without either of their names in the OP (and, by extension, indirect references to them or any mention of “Hillbots” or “cultists,” etc.). I will also be kicking such threads as much as possible, too.

Hey, maybe if I can inspire a big enough movement, perhaps discussion of actual ISSUES would rise to the top of the Greatest Page. :toast:

I had a premonition that some would think, "(gasp)...he wants to take away free speech." Nothing could be further from the truth.

This is a way for those tired of the flame war threads to raise the other threads above them.

I appreciate the spirit of your post, but to frame the problem as "mentioning their names" is a bit off target, in my opinion.
We can only "be the change we are looking for" by being respectful, and shedding more light than heat.

reccing good posts up and letting stupid ones drop is a good idea, and I concur on that.

Yeah, I don't mean to put down "factual" threads or threads that discuss issues.

I have the feeling a lot of people are already doing what I suggested anyway--regarding the flame threads.
