Hillary: "I Intend To Ask John Edwards To Be A Part Of Anything I Do"

ABC News' Eloise Harper reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., speaking in Lewiston, Maine, said that she would call on former No. Carolina Sen. John Edwards if she becomes president.

"There is a lot John and I have in common. I will be a fighter, and I intend to ask John Edwards to be a part of anything I do in the White House." Clinton was prompted to speak about Edwards after a woman stood up and sad she was a former supporter of his -- but has not switched allegiances to Clinton. The woman commended Edwards for being a fighter -- and thought Clinton was a fighter, as well.

1. Well now, that's a real shocker.
Either one would be foolish in the extreme not to say that.

Read it again, and you will see what I mean, my good friend and ally for Barack.

I can see Obama putting him there. I can't see Hillary doing it. I can see her offering him Dept of Labor.

It's an office for someone loyal to the president, who doesn't mind pursuing things he or she may not personally agree with. John would be much more effective on the court, where he can literally help change the direction of law in so many critical areas.

27. You don't see her putting him in there just because you don't like her,
or do you have some kind of reasoning and logic to back that up? Because I can see either one of them seating John on the SCOTUS.

21. and this one....
if john is smart, and he is, he will run a hundred miles from her. I'm more and more convinced with each passing day, that if Obama's still in the race in May, he'll win NC. I'm sorry to HRC supporters, but she just isn't well liked here, on either side of the aisle.

It's a damned shame what the MSM did to him. Now I'll vote for whomever gets the nomination.

5. The woman who asked the question is a friend of mine
She, like me, is a supporter of John Edwards (we both volunteered for him in NH). However, both she and I plan to caucus for Hillary tomorrow. I was very pleased with Hillary's response to my friend's question!

13. Where do you think all those donations to his campaign are going?
You think they're canvassing the streets? No. They're flooding the Internet and most of them are ill-mannered, ill-informed, and unable to stay focused on the subject at hand.

Normally I dismiss accusations on either side of paid "workers," but the influx is bizarre. If this is indicative of the type of people who support Obama, then I have to seriously question what kind of leader he is.

(using the same flyspecked bills chosen before St. Obama went to Washington) It is no coincidence it was a group of Obamites who began it...

14. Nothing cynical about it
Hillary shows good sense in saying she will bring John into her administration. He has a whole lot to offer and she realizes it!

Sounds like good words to me. Something she can say to the whole country "to be a part of anything" she does.

Sorry, Hillary, but no fucking way is this Edwards supporter ever gonna support you. If you unfortunately are the Dem nominee this coming November, I will hold my nose and vote for you in the General Election ONLY because what the Repuke have is worse than you are.

32. I honestly don't mean this as a barb ...
Nor do I mean to offend anyone. That said, this recent admission on Hillary's part seems an attempt to win the Edwards crowd to her side, whereas when Barack said such it seemed (to me) more genuine.
