And it's quite possible he'll do worse. I think the Democratic Party has screwed itself good this year, between sub-par candidates and the Amazing Caving Congress. Add that to porking the voters of MI and FL out of their votes in the primaries and it'll be a wonder if either House of Congress or the WH are in Democratic hands come Jan, 2009.

15. I have two friends who I know are GOP partisans

They're not too thrilled right now. They both told me that they regret their votes for GWB in 2004. One of them will vote for Obama over McCain, but not for Hillary. I have some registered republican family members, but they are hardly party liners. They are all over the map.

But I'm from California, so this is pretty unreliable for any kind of national movement.

It's sad that some folks equate their preferred candidate's troubles with an impending disaster in November. I guess for some, it's less about the party and the country and more about themselves. Oh, well.

16. It depends on whether or not the primaries were decided by the superdelegates.

If the people choose Obama, and the superdelegates give it to Hillary, there will be a huge uprising. You will see people leaving the dem party in groves.

If she wins the nomination on her own, then I do think she'll have problems because republicans will come out in droves to beat her.

If Obama is the candidate, he'll trounce McCain because he has more appeal nationwide on both sides.
