There is no evidence Hillary is favorite in Maine
I think the strategy among Hillary rivals is to make the Maine caucuses a "Patriots vs. Giants" duel, in which the Giants (Obama) are trying to defeat the invincible Patriots (Hillary), ignoring that no recent polls have been conducted in Maine, and that the Maine elections are caucuses, where Obama seems to almost always win, and by a large margin.

So don't be surprised to see "shocker!" headlines in newspapers such as the New York Post if Obama wins Maine.

1. I think the pundits at one time thought so becuz ME has two female Senators
but I'm unaware of any polls. I think Obama has a chance, but only becuz ME is strongly anti-war and has lots of independents.

2. Well, Kansas is not strongly anti-war and Obama won there
by a large margin. I dont' see a strong correlation between anti-war sentiments and voter choice.

Look at Massachussets and California, too.

4. Washington state also has 2 female senators....

Didn't help Hillary much here.

3. Hillary won NH, and MA
Both bordering states. The region has been less favorable to Obama.

7. I'm hopeful
But right now, there's no reason to believe Obama will win. Romney won up a couple weeks ago bucking trends. Then again. Romney lost NH too.

6. except the population
is heavy with her largest group of supporters: no college degree, white people and seniors.

Much like Obama is favored to win Maryland because of its demographics.

8. I saw a news clip saying that those who do well in NH historically do well in
ME, so it will be interesting to see if that holds true or not.

9. Hillary is supposed to win ME by 30 points.
Anything less is a failure.

10. That makes little sense, because Maine is a caucus
And Hillary has won no caucuses by large margins such as the one you predict.
