Dowd: Hillary is a dragon. Obama must slay the dragon. Hillary and Cheney have a dark vision
Hillary Clinton denounced Dick Cheney as Darth Vader, but she did not absorb the ultimate lesson of the destructive vice president:

Don’t become so paranoid that you let yourself be overwhelmed by a dark vision.

Obama told me he doesn’t think about mythic narratives, and Tuesday night in Chicago he was reaching up for “a hymn that will heal this nation and repair the world.”

But, if he wants to be president, he will still have to slay the dragon. And his dragon is the Clinton attack machine, which emerged Tuesday night, not invincible but breathing fire.

3. My god, Dowd is an idiot
And Obama supporters, if he wins the nomination, do not doubt she'll turn on him, too.

9. LOL! Yeah he uses that as an entry to a Cheney put down and
a laugh line. It's profoundly pathetic of you to try and use it against him- but it is funny in a pitiful way.

11. It's not the first time he's invoked Cheney's name
I guess this was just a joke too, huh?

"I personally believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. But I also agree with most Americans, including Vice President Cheney and over 2,000 religious leaders of all different beliefs, that decisions about marriage should be left to the states as they always have been." -- BARACK OBAMA

''if you look into your geneology you always want to find someone cooool, but I got Dick Cheney.''

10. Maureen Dowd is as crazy as friggin loon.
I share her Hillary antipathy, but she's gone absolutely nuts the past few years, ever since she started using botox and imagining herself a matronly vamp. I'd like to see her and Peggy Noonan reenacting the closing scene of Thelma and Louise.

13. she is kinda crazy, but an interesting crazy.
I haven't seen her for a while, nor read much, but she's got this up-in-the-air nose snobby witty thing going for her that I actually "like" in some people, gawd knows why. same with William F. Buckley Jr, - the both share a lot of traits I think.

very intelligent, not on the right side of the law all the time, but intriquing as hell (to me).
