Hillary Clinton on Iraq
Advance this video to the 2:10 mark. Also, did I hear her correct? Does she justify unilateral actions of us acting like the world's cop?

1. Yeah. She thought it was the right vote at the time. She's said since she wouldn't have voted yes...
..if she knew then what we know now.
Honest answer.

2. All you need to know about Hillary's Iraq vote...
Edited on Sun Feb-10-08 02:29 PM by TwoSparkles
...is that she knew the entire Bush dog-and-pony show was a neocon-led
lie.

She knew it. She voted for it.

The neocons wrote then-President Bill Clinton a letter in 1998, begging for war with Iraq.
That letter was signed by Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Bolton and other assorted
neocon hardliners. Bill Clinton said "No" to the neocon's request for war
with Iraq in 1998. Here is a copy of that letter to Bill Clinton:

http://www.newamericancentury.org/iraqclintonletter.htm

Did the neocons give up on their hope of gaining a foothold in the Middle East by using
Iraq as a front door? Of course not. They gained power within the Bush
Administration. This time, they didn't need to ask Bill Clinton permission. They
rode the wave of Sept 11 fear and used Bush to tell the lies about WMD and Saddam's
ties to Al Queda.

Hillary Clinton damn well knew the neocon game. She knew the neocons had been shopping
around this war since they asked her husband for it in 1998.

She voted "YES" knowing all of this. Hillary Clinton is a neocon enabler. She could
have launched a very convincing campaign against the Iraq war, that might have stopped it.
With that 1998 letter in hand, she could have said, "These are the same people who asked
my husband for war. Here they are again, trying to get the same war. Only this time, they're
taking advantage of our fears of terrorism. Let's take a step back, analyze the intelligence
and make sure that this is in the best interest of our county".

She remained silent about the neocon's long-time hunger for this war and she also voted
"YES". It's a damn shame.
