First, Bill covers for GHW Bush's scandals then GW Bush covered for Clinton. So now I'm wondering if Bush "endorsing" Clinton vs. Obama isn't a matter of quid pro quo. He knows McCain will cover him and I think he thinks Clinton would too. On the other hand, he might be a little worried about Obama

BFEE and the Clinton family are just a little too close for my comfort and it's really, really weird for Bush to get into the Clintons' corner.

3. Well, he didn't endorse HRC so much as he attacked Obama and defended Bill.
But it got me thinking...

Would anyone like to find a video or transcript of Bush's interview of Fox? I know, I know....

5. Bush endorsed McCain. Period
What he said about Bill didn't come close to "endorsing" Hillary. He didn't even address policies; he only said that Bill wasn't a racist and he had a right to campaign for his wife; both true. (Even a stopped clock...)

9. Saying that he doesn't believe Bill is a racist, is endorsing HRC?
you must be reading minds.
BTW, how do you account for him rallying the GOP to support their candidate

10. Bill protected Bush1, Hillary was set up to protect Bush2. Bushes TRUST Clintons
to protect their secrecy and privilege.

http://consortiumnews.com/2006/111106.html

That protection throughout the 90s led directly to Bush2, 9-11 and this Iraq war.

12. B&C, I made the mistake of jokingly using the word "endorse" with relation to
Shrub to Clinton when I first got here to DU and was pillaried in the town square. Maybe you'll have better luck.

14. I look at it differently , I think this is a ploy
Bush sides with Clinton and I'm not even certain this is true but say it is . With most of the country hating bush and he backs Hillary which may send votes to Obama . If this happens they may feel Obama my be torn apart by McCain and then McCain could win. You know damn well bush does not want a Dem to win .

18. Not that I know of.
Bush went to bat for Clinton, it makes me wonder why.

We don't have a nominee yet. Both candidates are fair game for fair criticism until we have a nominee.

21. to me, what this means is that Hillary and Bush have an understanding . . .
that should she win, she will not pursue Bush and Cheney for the myriad of crimes they committed against the Constitution, U.S. law, and international law . . . and since Obama has said that Bush has done nothing impeachable, the sad fact is that the Democratic candidate, if elected, is willing to ignore the crimes of the most criminal administration in our nation's history . . .

actually, it's more than a sad fact -- it's a complete disgrace that SHOULD disqualify either of them from consideration for president . . .

and if neither is willing to pursue Bush for his many crimes and misdemeanors, whichever one of them is elected will feel free to act just as illegally, just as unethically, and just as immorally as Bush . . . ya think either of them will void Bush's signing statements? . . . or his directives on illegal spying and on torture? . . . why aren't the candidates talking about this? . . .

because they don't intend to do anything about it . . . because they're all part of the same club -- and they watch each other's back . . .
