Democratic voters all across the country are going to make things much easier for Howard Dean. After winning Maine today, if Obama sweeps the Potomac states on Tuesday as expected, Obama will have won twenty three states plus Guam, the Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia. Hillary will have won ten states, and that is if you include Florida and Michigan whose results thus far are not supposed to count.

Assuming, for a moment, that Obama does sweep on Tuesday, which seems likely and even team Clinton has admitted as much, those twenty three states will include the last eight primaries and caucuses, the last few of which have been lopsided massacres in which Hillary has rarely made 40 percent of the vote. It's interesting to note that even though most consider McCain the presumptive nominee, he isn't sweeping the Republican contests like Obama is doing on the Democratic side. I understand the argument that the delegate difference is much wider on the GOP side, but still, the irony is palpable.

When you hear team Clinton talk about upcoming contests, one can tell they don't expect to have a realistic chance at a victory until March 4th in the Ohio and Texas contests. Of course, team Obama knows this and I am sure they will make a vigorous play for those states, assuming there still is a race at that point. The momentum Obama is building by piling up victory after victory, by March 4th is going to reach the strength of a Mega-Tsunami. There will be no victories for Hillary on March 4th if she has no wins between now and then.

I think it is time for Hillary and her team to start discussing their end game. If they get swept on Tuesday, barring some catastrophic event for Obama, Hillary is finished. To avoid having Super delegates decide the nominee at the convention, Hillary should concede at that point and allow the party to unite behind Barack Obama.

5. Here's a good question: will they have money on March 4th?
Granted, they had a nice fundraising bump after Super Tuesday from their loyal base, but that doesn't change the fact that most of their donor are tapped out. And they're going to find it hard to get new donors if they haven't had a win in a month.

9. Do they have any money now?
I think they raised 10 million of which 5 went to paying back the loan. 5 million isnt a lot to contest half a dozen to a dozen states...

7. Don't get over confident
seriously - if you are below the donation limit - pony up some $$ to the campaign tonight - I just threw in my 4th very small donation of $35.

don't get cocky - get to work for Obama!
