Interestingly, my congressional district went for Obama even though none of the counties in it did. (We're gerrymandered in the extreme out here.) I saw plenty of Obama signs in my town - Palo Alto - before the election, while Clinton signs are sparse. I attribute that to a more active Obama organization. (I saw one lonely Romney sign, and no McCain ones, for whatever that's worth).
