You Wanna Know why Obama wins the Youth Vote? Because he is Actively Courting our Votes

Monday and Tuesday are perfect Examples. On Monday, The Obama Campaign is sending Barack him self to speak at the Comcast Center on the campus of THe University of Maryland. The Clinton Campaign is sending Chelsea to speak at the Food Court.

On Tuesday, the Obama Campaign is sending Barack Himself to speak at the Kohl Center on the Campus of The Unviersty of Wisconsin-Madison. The Clinton Campaign is sending Chelsea to speak in the Union.

This matters to people like me and others. We see the candidate bothering to show up and speak to us, while Hillary is only sending her daughther. And we are going to show up in force for Obama in Madison.

1. YOUTH did not show up much for him in CA as I recall

2. There's more to this country than New York and California, ya know.

And I say this even though I claim the two states as my home.

4. They also didn't show in LA, though that didn't matter much.

3. I didn't see much of a youth vote.

6. The funny thing is this... all of this should be about our youth. Our children, our students, our..

grandchildren....

Just like a good household is geared to feed, shelter, cherish, raise, and educated the next generation so should we as a nation.

It's what we leave for the next generation that we will be remembered for.

After all the dot.com booms and busts have come and gone we have a legacy and it is our children and grandchildren that suffer or gain from the legacy the most and the longest.

Pay it forward, every generation.

Unfortunately even at a local level, the school millages don't pass because people just forget what community should really be about.

8. And the scariest part... Until Obama, the only people courting our youth have been

B*s Military Recruiters!

All it takes is planting a seed of awareness. A seed of purpose. A seed for our future. We can either ignore that they exist, or start fertilizing that seed to protect our own future. Because someday, it will be in their hands.

7. Obama is out campaigning for every vote instead of banking on an establishment machine

to do her heavy lifting. Poo-poo'ing Obama's state-by-state victories and looking to the big states is not only naive but presumptuous. Obama is showing that he not only wants this nomination more but is showing us every day why he deserves it.
