I popped off on Sparkly this morning

. . . on a juvenile romp through GDP. I didn't read the entire post. I skimmed for the parts I objected with, and I popped off with a vicious, insulting diatribe. What an ass. I'm extremely embarassed and extremely sorry. I wrote Sparkly and said so, but I wanted to highlight my stupidity here as a marker for myself.

I've got to read more carefully and take the chip off of my shoulder before I post. Mostly read more carefully. That's all

good of you to make a public apology, bigtree. It does the whole community good as well - I'll be more careful about the words I use from now on as well. There is so much at stake and sometimes the locked up frustration from all these past horrible years gets taken out on other individuals instead of the true target.

...... she's out right now and hasn't seen this post. Had she, there's no doubt at all she'd mention it to me, as she mentioned the post to which you refer.

I saw your retraction and apology in her original thread, too. She's not seen that one, either.

I think only a good person would take the time to do what you've done. We've all done similar things, I'm sure. I know sure as the sun will rise tomorrow that ***I*** have. And with way more vitriol than you did.

I have no doubt we're all on the same side. I also see that we're neighbors (surely within 10 miles of each other).

I thank you for this post and appreciate what it took to make it, but defer to Sparkly for the definitive word from our house.
