My dear candidatimaniacs .......
..... you all really ought to consider the aftermath and fall out from your actions. There will come a time when one or the other of our two primary challengers will get our party's nomination.

At that time, those of us who have been neutral in the primaries will be asked to vote for the winner and to do volunteer work for the winner.

In short, to get to the white house, you're candidate is going to need those of us who remain undecided and unenthused. Let me tell you all a little story. I am voting tomorrow in the "Potomac Primary" or "Chesapeake Primary" or whatever the media is calling it these days. I am going to vote for one of the candidates. But I can tell you without a doubt that I support neither of them. My vote is my duty and I will do it.

Being one who has voted but who is uncommitted and unenthused, and if your current candidate wins the nomination, you'll have to woo me if you want me to work for the party nominee (your candidate) come August .... or October ...... or November.

But here's the rub. Given your horrible, childish, silly, despicable deportment as we work to choose our standard bearer - many of you have been way worse than Republican's fer krissakes - I really don't like you very much.

How will you woo me and the millions of others just like me?

(If you've been only positive *for* your candidate, and not vitriolically negative and attacking toward your opponent, then this thread is NOT aimed at you.)

1. I'll vote for HRC if she's the candidate, but I won't work for her election.
That's as far as I can go. I would enthusiastically vote for, and support, Obama.

My original order of preference: Kucinich, Edwards, Richardson, Obama.

2. yep
while I'm not afraid of a good dirty fight - indeed confess to enjoying some of it sometimes, I still need some real reasons to vote for one or the other...so, take a break from flinging insults to occasionally try persuasion.

 good post

3. stinky for pres !!!
Dunno if you were around here back in '04.

Granted it was in a way, a shorter contest. But people were crazed by the * "misadministration" and wanted him out. Everyone had a theory and a strategy and people got nasty.

Pretty much, no one saw Kerry as a contender until he won Iowa.

I was obsessing about EVM's at the time but a lot of people were being foolishly ridiculous.

The one person-one vote sort of thingy was all I cared about and I still do.

There are still plenty of strange anomalies in our flawed electoral system.

I'll leave Sparkly's wise judgment to woo you.

In the meantime, don't sweat the small stuff, nor would I ever think you would suffer fools gladly.

:hi:

& best
