It's just not right...
My dad live in TX and he's going to vote for Obama in the primaries just to make sure that Clinton doesn't get on the ticket. He already feels screwed by McCain being on top of the republican ticket, and so he doesn't care about the republican vote. He hates Clinton so much that he's voting for Obama just to get back at her...for what? He can't even tell me why he hates her...he just sneers about her and makes fun of her clothes, mannerisms, etc....everything about her that is female.

:(

I know there are Obama supporters that are probably cheering my dad on, but if imagine if the tables were turned. What if all of the white people came out to vote for Clinton just to make sure that a black man didn't get into office...there would be incredible outrage.

1. I'm cerainly not cheering your dad on; I'm counting my
blessings for having had the dad I did. He'd never do anything like that and was a true blue liberal. I miss him.

3. Unfortunately, there probably are some
Though not 'all', just as not 'all' people voting for Obama are voting just to keep Clinton off the ballot.

4. no one should vote like that
on the other hand this is what me and alot of obama supporters mean when hillary can unite the republican party, unite them against her. If hillary wins the primary I wish her all the luck but I do see her as having a much harder GE run then Obama.

5. So, your dad prefers Obama over Clinton - why shouldn't he vote for him?
He hates Clinton, and doesn't want her elected, so he's voting that way in the primary. I don't see the problem with that logic.

6. I'm an Obama supporter who is NOT cheering your Dad on...
He's voting for Obama for all the wrong reasons. He's voting at someone rather than for someone.

7. This is more proof that she's unelectable.
There would be millions of more anti-Dem voters if we ran Hillary. She'd be a catastrophe down ballot.

9. Unfortunately, your dad represents a very real demographic.
My parents are of the same mindset, but they do not make fun of Hillary. Their main reason for not voting for her is that they do not want Bill Clinton anywhere near the WH again. It's irrational perhaps, but it's how they feel. They voted for Bush twice and are completely disillusioned with the GOP now.

10. I'm glad to hear your dad is voting for Obama, but not for those reasons..
Sadly, both Obama & Clinton seem to have people voting FOR them because of non-political things that they dislike about the other.

There are (in my mind) several reasons to vote for Obama over Clinton - but her clothes, hairstyle, mannerisms are NOT one of them.

11. I have harped on this theme for weeks
The voters (frankly, in all areas but split as such: Republicans - all, independents - most, democrats - a few) hate Hillary Clinton in Texas. It is primarily an association with Bill, under whose watch Texas went overwhelmingly Republican in 1994 (When Chimpy swept in as governor). Texas democrats have yet to recover, although we are seeing life in some pockets. One more time: Hillary Clinton is death to the down-ticket democrats in Texas.

12. It's not about a "woman" versus a "black man"
It's about a 28 year downward spiral of this country, in which Hillary Clinton has ACTIVELY participated. She needs to GO, along with her friends, the Bush Crime Family.

14. And then your father will fall in line come November and vote for McCain.
My husband knows a few people at work who voted for Obama in Arizona just to keep Clinton off the ticket, but they will vote McCain in November.

15. Gee, that's what HilBilly were insinuating whites in South Carolina
should do. But, I mean really, what else could you expect from a Southern yellow-dog Democrat, the same type of person who flies home during the New Hampshire primary to execute a convict with a 69 IQ just to show he's "tough on crime"?

16. I'll Vote For
Obama tomorrow morning in the (open) Virgina primary.
It's not because I find him inspiring in any way.
I don't plan to donate time or money to his campaign.
It will simply be an anti Hillary vote.

I don't "hate" her on a personal level although I have reason.
Her "politics" are calculating.
I don't see any real leadership.
None of these are the reason I'm voting against her.

I'm voting for Obama because the dynastic implications of
bush, Clinton, bush, Clinton is anti-democratic. It's political incest
and we're the one's getting f*#ked. We're like Rome at it's tipping point,
or worse. Instead of true leadership we get actors, fortunate sons and
spouses of former presidents offered up as our only choices????

In a nation of more than 300 Million, this is the best we can do?
