Anyone else wishing Edwards would get back in the race?
How great it would be to have someone who is a real candidate for change, not someone just reading the script.

3. I wish he had never had to drop out, but he did and it's over.
Coming back in at this point isn't an option, so I don't wish for it.

I reluctantly moved my support to Obama after John dropped out, I would switch back in a second if he got back in.

I like Edwards but this is Obama's election at this point. And, for the record, he's not "just reading the script".

22. Apparently we're too far deep
in letting the news media choose our candidates for us - like American Idol.

How sad if we end up going through another 8 years of the same old stuff.

7. I'm not sure at this point--
I wish he hadn't left the race in the first place, but at this point I think he would take votes away from Obama and make it difficult for a clean victory. It would be great if the two nominees could be chosen quickly and then they both go on vacation and we suspend all political ads until September (I know, but I can still dream...).

Is anything really real any more? It always discomforted me that the votes didn't seem to much support his rhetoric.

return but voted so he could have some clout and some delegates at the convention and perhaps some say in the Dem platform.

34. voted for him in MD
I could not bring myself to vote for the front-runners. So I cast a vote for Edwards, all his delegates, and one delegate each for Biden and Richardson. (Didn't see any Kucinich delegates listed or I would have voted for them.)

I hope there will be some good number of votes for Edwards and Kucinich to send a message to the front-runners: we're not going anywhere.
In this instance, we could not vote for our candidate but we voted for their positions.

15. Well, wishing won't make it happen. My grandmother use to say:
"You can wish in one hand & S*** in the other." Moral = Wishing won't get you S***.

John is gone for '08. I felt there was some sort of arm-twisting going on, because he was not himself when he gave his "withdrawl" speech. But we will probably never know what happened.

But, what will be will be. I just hope he will be AG or win in 2016!

33. Why would that be demeaning?
I think what was demeaning was being John Kerry's running mate.
THAT was demeaning! When CLEARLY, Edward was FAR SUPERIOR to Kerry.
Kerry is a wuss and an elitist.
That's Y he was swift-boated.
And he's so RICH, he didn't "have" to be President.
He didn't want it bad enough, 'cause he didn't "need" it.
I think Kerry is happy, just traveling, windsurfing and wearing nice suits.
Edwards deserved better!

35. What has my post to do with Kerry? Edwards is far superior to Obama in every
way. He is a true representative of the people. He shouldn't have to take a back seat to a media generated candidate.

As for your comments regarding Kerry you are pathetically ill informed and "wusses" don't get purple hearts or stand up to Congress about an illegal war or tackle the BCCI when no one else would. And Kerry is not himself "rich" he never has been .He lived as a child off the graciousness of an Aunt, and is now married to a woman who has money in trust for her children.

People are sick of candidates who change in every election. There are good things about Edwards but he wasn't our strongest candidate.

I think he should have spent the $6 million and run those TV ads in the super tuesday states, and been in that next debate.

The decision to drop out could've come later... I'm not over it yet. ;(

No thanks, we have an embarrassment of riches on the democrat side. Look at that pisspoor batch of souls the republicans had to choose from.

We need to whittle the field down to a candidate at this point, not be expanding the field.
