4. My friend "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself"!!
We must stare down our fear and forge ahead and the Republicans better realize that America will not tolerate an attack on either of the Democratic candidates.

8. If they want to get you, they'll get you.
No point in worrying about it. Besides, I really don't think Obama will refuse to play ball. Everyone plays.

10. haha i laugh at people who get so wrapped up in these forums.
please, take a trip outside.

you walk about "these people" and "them" and all this nonsense. the people of whom you speak are others, a small crowd, just like you sitting behind their computers.

It's not real life. give it a rest.

13. Even if that were in the cards, we can't let *them* hold us hostage.
We have to pursue what is right, even when it makes us (or our candidate) targets.

On the occasions when I watch a movie about desegregating schools, or other major historical events, I wonder what I would have done if I had been there then. It is so easy to say "yes" from a distance, but I wonder if I would have had the courage as a teen to walk through an angry crowd alongside those black students, standing up for what was right.

If no one has the courage to take the next step, the next step will never be taken.
