I need to offer an apology for an Obama post today.
I put a post up today because I was angry at something I heard Obama and Kerry say. I misunderstood their position on the way the super delegates are being awarded, and how they should be.

Many of you got a little... miffed at me. However, as I said, if I am wrong, I have no problem admitting it. And I was wrong.

However, that was not the point of the thread, as I tried to make clear. These super delegates... They are not supposed to be seated until ALL of the primary contests are over. That is why they can be flipped, and that is why you see the candidates trying to bargain for them.

The supers were intended to give the candidate who wins the normal delegates the margin of victory need to have a clear concise winner. That is not how it is being portrayed on TV, and it is not how the system has worked thus far this election.

My post was merely trying to point that out. That this is not right, what they are doing, and that we need to contact our officials and make sure they are doing what they are supposed to do.

Since they are not awarding these in the manner in which it was originally intended, we need to make sure that they do it in a district by district, county by county, and state by state matter.

They only get one vote each. That vote should be representative of their constituency... Since they are not going by the books.

Furthermore, if you are still bothering to read this... Everyone who reads my posts knows who I voted for. I had that challenged time after time earlier. And really, only because I have an open mind about this stuff.

There is nothing wrong with looking at your candidate skeptically. There is nothing wrong with holding your candidate accountable for their actions, and scrutinizing their mistakes.

We SHOULD be doing that. That is OUR job. It would be undemocratic of us not to.

The system is full of checks and balances... with us being the FINAL check and balance. Never forget that.

That being said... As I hear Clinton supporters accuse us of doing...I will proudly now drink my glass of Obama Kool-Aid.
