It's time for this Party to unite behind our candidate.
The Republicans have their candidate, and it's time we acknowledge we have ours.

United, we will prevail.

This is one vote your candidate will never get! And this kind of attitude has helped me make my decision!

24. I loved Edwards too...
Are you really going to vote for McPain over Obama? Please don't condemn the earth to greenhouse gases, the middle class to poverty, the sick and poor to the mercy of the emergency room, and my teenage son to the Republicans' plans for a military draft and likely death over oil. I will vote for the Democratic nominee, period. I'm begging you, and others disappointed that their candidates didn't make it, to reconsider what sitting out this election or a direct vote for McPain or Nader would do. Thank you.

6. And when we have one, we will. But step back, you're not crowning any kings just yet.
This country still is a semblance of a democracy, and we haven't heard from quite a few states.

Unless you think those poor fuckers in TX, PA, and several other states don't count???

I think they do.

35. I have not heard the fat lady sing. We'll just have to wait and see.
I don't know how you can conclude that "Obama has pretty much locked it up."

The magic number is 2025, and he's not there yet.

It ain't number of states, little ones OR big ones, won, it isn't "victories"--it's delegates. That's the number you need to watch.

And NONE of our states are "winner take all."

11. How can you, of all people, calteacherguy, talk about
unity?

When you spend nothing but your time on this board posting divisive material?

Do you seriously think you're not provocative and divisive?

Everything you post is a poke in the eye.

Nothing analytical or informative or positive.

I can't think of anything.

It's a joke.

40. The Obama party consists of...
Independents, Republicans, evangelicals, and generally conservative voters.

The same people who brought you the past 8 years.

We do judge candidates by the people they attract and the methodologies they employ to 'sell' their candidate.

The Obama party is not a party of inclusion.

With or without a candidate - as the MSM may or may not fix our upcoming primaries. At least, we made it a little harder than in 2004 - I take comfort from that.
And shouldn't you be at some FREE SCHUSTER vigil right now?
That will play well if you actually get it and they turn against your guy - Time, MSGOP and the rest of your surrogates.

45. this is pretty silly when we are looking at a tie
there are many states ahead. While I voted for Obama in the MD primary yesterday, to say he is the candidate at this juncture is apparently just a ploy to annoy the other side. I think this is going to convention and the main battle will be won or lost there.
