Challenger Donna Edwards Wins Stunning Victory (60%-35%) Over Long-Time Incumbent Albert Wynn!
Md. Challenger Edwards Wins Stunning Victory Over Long-Time Incumbent Wynn

U.S. Rep. Albert R. Wynn (D) conceded a short time ago after losing to Prince George's County lawyer Donna F. Edwards.

Wynn, who had served in the 4th District for eight terms, had been targeted by an aggressive advertisement campaign, funded in part with hundreds of thousands of dollars from national labor groups and liberal organizations. The effort apparently convinced voters that Wynn had fallen out of step with his overwhelmingly Democratic district during his 15 years in Congress.

"The deed is done," Wynn told reporters at a Lanham union hall where his supporters had gathered after the polls closed. "I think the only thing that remains is to support the winner."

Edwards, speaking to her supporters at Largo hotel, said: "Today the voters went to the polls looking for a change, and they went out there looking for new leadership. They found what they were looking for in this campaign."

3. Good. Adios to another hollow DLCer......
Donna Edwards was on Sam Seder's Sunday show and ROCKED!!! There's no need for a tired DINO in a district that's overwhelmingly Democratic.

4. All those Dems who voted for the lie of a war for Israel
should be replaced. Friends are one thing lying for Empire are another. Our military die and no one cares. That is abuse of power.

The USS Liberty transcripts have just been released. Senator Specter should be removed from office for his lies and refusal to investigate the truth. John McCain's father threatened the sailors on the ship if they ever told the truth. Why elect a McCain who approves of lying to the American people? The world is too dangerous with nuclear weapons, etc.

President Johnson lied about the attacks leading to Vietnam (Gulf of Tomkin). McNamara should be held accountable too.

As Democrats we have to demand the truth and punish those who lie to us otherwise no one can have peace or democracy. The same lying gang are in power in our Congress. It has to stop.
