I won't vote for Hillary if she takes the nomination like that either, though. I will just not vote at all, for the first time in my adult life. I refuse to support any candidate who makes it clear that their ego and ambitions are more important than the will of a majority of Democratic voters.

Some principles matter more than blind loyalty to a political party. If you'll support the Democratic nominee no matter what, even if the nomination is seriously tainted by backroom politics that disregard the clear will of the voters, then good for you...but I'd question whether you can call yourself a (small D) democrat.

I am 99.9% sure I will vote for the Democratic nominee, but I don't want the candidates or the insiders at the convention to take my vote for granted. I want them to believe that HOW they select a nominee is more important than WHICH nominee they select. They are both great candidates, neither can survive a nomination process that leaves one half of our party disillusioned.

It is very apparent that something exciting is happening and I am catching the Obama fever myself. His speech from last night was terrific and the evidence at the polls reflect that he is winning the trust of a broad spectrum of the electorate. John McCain, on the other hand, has totally embraced the Bush doctrine of ushering the nation into bankruptcy and being satisfied with America being labeled a rogue state. Questions for anyone who supports McCain: Did Iraq attack us or did we attack Iraq? Did Iraq threaten us or did we threaten Iraq? Do you stand by the tax cuts and record deficits of George Bush or do you repudiate them now? The only thing John McCain has going for him is that he was once a POW and that doesn't qualify you for more than our heartfelt thanks and sympathy.
