Larry Johnson's latest vile hit diary on Obama gets slammed by every Frontpager on DailyKos.
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/2/13/16439/2257/493/456158

Read it if you can stomach it (it was in a post on GDP by Roger Fox who said L.J. "has jumped the shark"). But the one comforting thing was that all the frontpagers of DailyKos commented in the diary. Thing is, the FPers rarely if ever get involved in the primary wars. A few have them have said who they voted for, but they're pretty fair and usually report on other news. So it is significant that Larry Johnson has been completely shamed for the filth he wrote:

I'm not sure I've every seen a diary (4+ / 0-)

Composed of such utter, sanctimonious bullshit.

Late to the party (15+ / 0-)

But, if you are reading the comments, I'd like to tell you that you're a racist jackass, and you're full of yourself.

Courtesy phone calling Mr. Johnson... it's LGF and Free Republic calling. Your presence is wanted at the upcoming RNC.

It's embarrassing (21+ / 0-)

...to see how far you've fallen, peddling this bullshit, racist crap. You should take this over to LGF. They'll love you there.

Ah. So now you're a psychologist ... (23+ / 0-)

...as well as all your other feats, LC?

I have many criticisms of Senator Obama. But this line of yours is the fattest turd in a pile of doozies:

Easily manipulated by the father figures he desperately seeks and gratified by the adulation of the masses, he is buying into his "man of destiny" nonsense.

1. You might want to heed Larry Johnson's warning
Some of what he's saying is what I've also been telling people. Barack has been enjoying a honeymoon period with the media but that won't last forever. You'd better fasten you seat belts once the honeymoon is over and you can't say you haven't been warned.

3. The comments following the initial OP are unremarkable and ring hollow..
the nascent insurgency of Obama's campaign will see his negatives grow. It all goes with the territory. Unless you naively believe the entire country is one Big Obamapalooza and he will be carried on a cloud to the White House as our next president.

Not all of us feel compelled to bend at the knee for a candidate no one knows nothing about..and what little we do know from our own discovery, is hardly encouragement Obama is all his autobiographical embellishments say he is..

25. Unbelievable!! The guy is spewing right wing clap trap, and you're
saying heed his warning? It is no surprise that the Right will lie about our candidate. The point is to pick THE BEST candidate. Obama is the one who has run a stellar campaign. Obama is the one who has stuck consistently to his message throughout his campaign. Obama is the one who has handled the attacks on him with calm, cool, and grace. I can't say that about Hillary, who has made many missteps, gone nasty negative, had no Plan B when Plan A didn't work for her campaign, and has had recent staff shake ups (doesn't give me the warm and fuzzy feeling).

And I have researched Barack Obama, thank you very much, and I base my assessments on, you know, FACTS.

41. That's only because some have defined ANY criticism of Clinton to be RW
I have seen people say mention of Monica is RW - yet everyone of voting age knows all about that - even those first time voters who were in middle school then - as anyone who drove any car pools knows.

In fact, it is the RW "litany" of Clinton problems that protects the Clintons here, among Democratic partisans. So many were and are complete lies, that we developed a kneejerk response to defend the Clintons without even examining the issues. It is US who fought back against the RW for the Clintons, far more than them fighting back.

exactly, if Clinton supporters tag any criticism of her as "RW" and beneath answering than they don't have to answer any of them.

26. Not the community, THE EDITORS. Please point out to me a front page
post that "smears the Clintons". They don't get involved in the primary wars much (Markos has done the most, and he is not in my list on this post), and in fact, play referee when things get out of hand, usually putting the blame on both sides.

Are you really going to defend Larry Johnson's post? Because it crossed the line, and shows he doesn't care much about the Democratic Party, only Hillary.

How about Ron Paul supporters? Republicans for the war who call those against the war traitors? How about the Swiftboaters? The fact is that DailyKos is a partisan site for Democrats. Larry Johnson's diary had nothing to do with furthering ANY Democratic cause.

43. It's actually true if you consider HRC to be an exceptionally good candidate
Given that assumption, the fact that a black man could survive SuperTuesday and now be better positioned to win the Presidency than she is says that a black man could win now or in the future. The CW for a long time was that the incredible HRC, with her 2 term President husband, many allies from his administration and at least 2 years of the media speaking of "inevitable" would have destroyed ANY opponent.

Whether you like Obama or not, he has demonstrated that it is not impossible.

In the meantime, we have to watch the equivalent of a papal coronation, as the media and fans exhult in the Obama Messiah, the black Jesus come to save us. But sometime in the next four months, the excitement will fade as the reality of who Obama is comes out.

<...>

Now I know Obamaphiles will simply bend over and stick their head in their neighbor's ass and proclaim the putrid aroma as the heaven-sent breath of God. They will say this means nothing and is just carping.

I can't figure out the appeal of Obama other than his slick talk. Obama is not a very strong person. Now, Michelle is another story. I think she is Obama's backbone. Hillary has serious problems too. She is too much of a product. We should be nominating John Edwards. He should be our choice. I am horrified that Democrats are showing so little common sense in this year when we had the best chances ever for a landslide victory.

The day John Edwards suspended his campaign was one of the saddest in American history.
