“Professor Obama’s Political Plagiarism”
This quote will air tonight at 9:36 pm est. on BLOOMBERG TELEVISION’s “Money & Politics.” The quote is from the “Dollars and Sense” segment with Gene Sperling and Kevin Hassett:

The fact is that Obama’s plan today is the most shameless piece of potential plagiarism that I have ever seen. He basically took Clinton’s words and Clinton’s policies and called them his own. If I were a professor I’d give him an F and try to get him kicked out of school for something this terrible…If I were on the Clinton team, I’d be prepping memos.

- Kevin A. Hassett, Senior Fellow and Director of Economic Policy Studies, American Enterprise Institute, John McCain adviser (H/t AndreWalker08 at MyDD.com)

It must also be noted that John Edwards’ economic stimulus plans were also widely acknowledged to be vastly superior to Obama’s far weaker plans. NYT columnist and economist Paul Krugman, in January, wrote: “ast month, before the economic consensus turned as negative as it now has, proposed a stimulus package including aid to unemployed workers, aid to cash-strapped state and local governments, public investment in alternative energy, and other measures.”

3. So if Obama's plans are identical to Clinton's...and Obama's plans suck...
doesn't it follow that Clinton's plans also suck?

The bulk of that piece is based on Krugman quotes, so forgive me if I don't find it credible.

You might want to read the loathsome screed he posted at DKos today before you associate yourself with his blog, lest people think you endorse those sentiments yourself.

(Edited to correct comical typo)

9. Bill Burton Responds
“If the Clinton campaign ever bothered to check their facts before attacking, they’d know that Barack Obama’s comprehensive energy plan to create millions of new jobs was introduced a month before Senator Clinton’s, and that his infrastructure plan invests billions more than hers does to rebuild our roads, bridges, and schools. But the real problem in Washington is not a lack of good ideas, it’s the failure to come together and solve our problems because politicians are too busy scoring cheap political points just like this one."

14. Perfect response
I'm so sick of all this 'stealing' nonsense generally, when most of Obama's plans have never even been spoken about and 90% of every candidate's plans come straight from John Kerry's campaign anyway.

12. Sept 2007
Most of his proposals have been introduced previously, or are in previous legislation. This shows the ignorance of the blogger, not any failing in Obama.
