Clinton's bouncing back!
Leading by big margins in PA and OH. Up 21 points in Ohio and 18 points in PA.

In Texas, the last poll I saw she was leading by 10 points or so.

In WI, where she's expected to lose...she's closing the gap with two polls show it with in a few points. Not a big margin of victory for Obama, Hillary could still pick up quite a few delegates from that state.

We've got some promising signs, and while some on this board are desperately trying to nail the last nail shut on Hillary's non-existent coffin...

She's bouncing back!

Go Hillary!!

80. A win by 10 pts in Texas would be a DISASTER for Clinton
She needs a minimum of 20 points in both states - but realistically - given the demographics - she should EXPECT 30-40 point margins in her favor. She has a very strong Machine - and it should deliver Huge margins for her in these states.

I hope we can hold her to less than 20 point victory in these states. Anything even near 20 but under would be a big win for Obama.

I think she has likely VERY big margins in these states. like 30-40 points.

If she can do 30-40 point margins in all 3 - then she will be back on her feet for sure.

98. Oh I agree.... I just expect her to Win Huge in Texas
She is really putting in monster resources and time there, and has unbelievable advantages.

Obama has been winning by 30-40 point margins too but, I'm pretty sure she will have at least a 30 point margin of victory in Texas. I hope not, but it is what I expect at this point. Unless Obama can do something new and spectacular to reach out into her strongholds.

121. Proportional delegation makes the magnitude of a win more important.
A virtual tie pretty much splits the delegates. HRC needs margins like that to close the lead Obama has opened on her.

101. Turnout will tell the TX tale. 34 electoral votes at stake Nov. 4th.
If both Dems can make a strong showing in the TX primary, we can
force R's to dump a ton of cash into the GE race there; however, this
time I think people won't fall for that R crap.

Obama is going to win WI.

But not by the huge margins he has in the past.

Which means Hillary is probably going to get a good number of delegates.

Add that with big victories in PA, OH, and TX...

And this race is ON!!

42. You are talking about two specific states. Not the general race.
She neer bounced back in these races. She has always had large leads, especially in early polling, in these states.

She has always been expected to win these states.

She has not "bounced back".

In fact, she is losing momentum by the day in Ohio, which is her firewall and the state that plays to her demographics.

I'm sure there are a few things much sadder than that. For example, a Democrat who criticizes and denigrates (in an awkwardly back-handed fashioned) other Democrats for supporting a different candidate and calling that "the destruction of our party".

Yup... that's pretty sad, too.

33. But is this more of the same?
She's ahead in Texas, Ohio and Pennsylvania ... she also won California and New York. And instead of trying to bring down the hammer in these large states, Obama is killing her campaign with a dozen tiny cuts in smaller states.

What happens after Texas and Ohio? I'll even give Hillary a possible win in the closed primary in Wyoming on March 8, though Obama has a sure-thing in Mississippi two days later. Then comes Pennsylvania.

And then? What will Hillary be doing through May and June, while Obama is banking victories everywhere from North Carolina to Montana?

The big Achilles Heel of Hillary's 2008 primary campaign has been her inability to campaign effectively in small states. Wins in Texas, Ohio and Penn., especially close wins do nothing to ameliorate that if Obama keeps winning 60+ points in all the smaller states.

Hillary's lead in Ohio has slipped a lot over the past month, as the last poll only had Obama coming in with 19%. Also, Hillary had a 9 point lead in Wisconsin just a few weeks ago and an 18 point lead in Texas at the start of January. So from the looks of it, she's slipping a lot.

She's led those states the whole time, but her leads have diminished there--how is that described as bouncing back? Yeah, I know, it's a bit of good news for HRC's campaign to pump up. I personally don't consider her down-and-out by any means.

111. Hello and chill people
This is my first post so be be gentile with this DU virgin.

Mrs. Clinton showed up yesterday in eastern Ohio and Mr. Obama
hasn't been here yet. He is just starting to get his people
together right now in the Youngstown area. As is Mrs. Clinton

I happen to live right on the border of Ohio and Pa and get
the best and worst of both states. I'm fortunate enough to be
able to listen to opinions from each state.

If the Nafta trade agreement comes up, which I am sure it
will, Mrs. Clinton will be in trouble. The local talk shows
are filled with hatred of Bill for Nafta. She will have a
hard time defending it in those communities where the trade
agreement has effected the local economy

True she may do very well in the western part of Ohio but the
eastern part of the state will decide the election in Ohio.
Cleveland, Youngstown, Akron-Canton, Stubenville are the hot
beds in the east. Many of these cities have been hit very hard
with loss of jobs, while the western part of the state has
been the boom area of Ohio.

As for Pennsylvania we have Pittsburgh and Philly which are
Democratic hot beds and the BIG (T), the center of the state
and across the northern border, which is republican hot beds.
Which ever way Pitt and Philly goes will be the way the state
goes. With our governor backing Mrs. Clinton it may hurt her
more than help, fast Eddy isn't liked that well.

As far as polls go they truly don't show the opinions of many
people in these areas.

Clinton Wins N.M. Caucus Vote

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) -- New Mexico's Democratic party chairman announces Thursday that Hillary Rodham Clinton won the state's Democratic caucus.

A marathon vote-count that went on for nine days after the Feb. 5 election ultimately added one more delegate to her total. That gives Clinton 14 delegates from New Mexico to 12 for her rival Sen. Barack Obama.
