17,000 provisional ballots to be counted, approx. an 8,000 vote increase total between Clinton and Obama. I haven't heard, what happened to the 9,000 other ballots?

:)

1. Well, they are provisional ballots.
I'm not sure what the average rate of those being not counted are, so I dunno. Does seem a little odd, but I'm not too familiar with provisional ballots.

3. We know they cheated. We may never know how.
Until Obama is elected, appoints a new US Attorney, and has the FBI investigate the perps.

11. Approximately 9000 provisional ballots were
thrown out because they were found to be from persons who were not registered Democrats.

I don't know how many of that 9000 were actually Republicans, but I know at least one Pubby showed up at the polling place where I was a volunteer and demanded to know why there were only Democratic candidates on his ballot. We figured he was a Texan.

I don't know how they missed you first time around. A member for only 2 weeks, and already 2000+ posts ... most bashing HRC.

I hope the mods are tracking all your constant unsupported attacks, and flamebaiting.

5. My understanding is that it's a closed caucus
if the ballots were not from registered Democrats, they didn't count.

10. I don't think it was closed.
The spokesman was thanking all the pugs, indies, greenies, etc. that voted. He didn't look as if he were joking.

9. When the New Mexico Chairman was announcing the results
Edited on Thu Feb-14-08 08:25 PM by bamalib
He said the provisional ballots that were tossed were from registered Republicans, Independents, Greens and even some members of the "Bull Moose" parties. The election was only open to Democrats. Sorry Obama supporters.

14. That isn't the impression I got at all.
I though he was just thanking them for voting. Is there some way to check this out?

16. You may not have heard the beginning of his speech
Edited on Thu Feb-14-08 08:28 PM by bamalib
He said that they were not counting about 7000 (don't remember the exact number but it was about that) votes because they weren't registered Democrats. Those were the rules. He did thank them and encouraged them to vote for the Democratic nominee in November.

17. I'm a New Mexican. I volunteered at one of the Albuquerque polling
places on February 5th.

It was a closed primary. Everyone else votes in June.

Thank you.

I'm from NM. They were disqualified either as people voting who were not registered at all (or missed the deadline).

or duplicates.
