Careful what you wish for
Now is not the greatest time for Hillary to get into a debate with anyone. She is a walking triage at the moment. Any debate would force her to confront a litany of crushing news for her. Her campaign is shedding staff like mad. She had to loan herself cash. She missed the FISA immunity vote. She is losing the race so badly at the moment she has to win the rest of it be a wide margin, and more. All of this would be addressed in a debate and it would take a miracle to spin her way to a positive answer to some of the questions she would get.

If she could pull off a win first then debates might be a less hostile atmosphere for her. She might be able to get a shot in on Obama in one now but it comes at the risk of having to walk through a mine field to do it.

1. I doubt he'll debate her. He's much better reading Teddy Sorenson's speeches

and evoking the memory of JFK than he is debating. Why play into Hillary's strengths? That would be bad politics for the front-runner, not worthy of a Chicago politician.

She'll of course paint him as being afraid of debating her. But not many people pay attention to such things, especially if the corporate press doesn't jump in and cover the story. Above all, debates are always risky, especially for candidates campaigning on image.

6. I agree
He has markedly improved since the beginning of this thing. He was equally as good as her the last time. If his learning curve continues the way it has so far he should beat her this next one and wipe the floor with her the one after that.

5. And why DID she miss that vote, since she was right there at the time?
Has she offered an explanation? (I apologize if this has already been discussed).

8. Why debate Hillary when you can read speeches and pause for applause?
