He said that SHE said "speeches don't fix healthcare or put food on the table" and AGREED with her, saying negative ads don't do those things either, and then went on to name the things he's been doing for the last 20 years! He is GOOD!

Do you still have the link? If I remember correctly, these weren't recent contributions (someone said 2005 or 2006 I think).
All it means is that they supported fellow Democrats in previous races. Seeing who and how many individuals received these contributions would be the only interesting information though.
