Why Obama may win TX
Because my dad and his big group of neocon friends are organizing a republican movement to "keep the bitch" from getting the nomination.

:-(

They are organizing a vote for Obama movement.

Wow....republican hacks helping to pick the democratic nominee. WTH is up with that? Is that really how either candidate would want to win?

My dad told me that Hillary is "hard, a nag, a bitch, the kind of woman who reminds you of every controlling woman you've ever been with...not soft and nice...not someone you could imagine having a relationship with". This is completely in line with the hate-filled rhetoric of the likes of Rush Limbaugh.

Is this really how democracy works? I'm just so saddened by this.

I feel my candidate is losing and it has a lot to do with her gender.

2. yes, see link
http://texaspolitics.laits.utexas.edu/html/vce/0201.html

Officially, Texas has closed primaries. But in practice, any registered voter may vote in the primary of any single party, as long as they have not voted in the primary of another party. Texas's primaries are closed in a less direct way: once a registered voter has in effect declared his or her party affiliation by voting for the nominees in a party's primary, that person cannot participate in the proceedings (for instance, a runoff primary or convention) of another party.

It has been very common for cross-over votes down here for many years.

GOBAMA!!!

3. I don't know
I have no idea how they are planning this. I'm not sure if he is registered as an independent or if they are open.

6. why doesn't this make the news?
I have now banned myself from the MSM. I used to enjoy Olbermann, but I'll never watch him again after his slanted coverage of Clinton.

9. Another poster mentioned that....
...Republican robot callers in Texas are urging their supporters to vote Clinton so that the election can be tied up by McCain.

10. Actually, Repugs WANT Hillary as the nominee to run against
Your dad is not doing the Repug bidding well.

As for open primaries, that kind of stuff always happens.

Work for your candidate of choice. Just don't blame the Repugs for Obama's solid win in Texas.

11. yes, many republicans are planning on getting rid of hillary, but if it makes u feel better
some are voting for hillary to keep this thing going longer and to possibly get what they view as the weaker candidate..

13. Good try
Obama will win Texas because he has feet on the ground, knocking on doors, and is getting ready to turn out the vote. We're still waiting for Hillary to open an office in Houston. It's the 4th largest city in America. Obama now has 8.

14. I have a Republican friend in Texas who said ...
he and his friends were voting for Obama because they resented the implication that Texas was just an Hispanic state where you show up and pander to the Hispanic voters and win.

There seems to be a bit of a turf war going on there between the cowboys and Hispanics.

Did you miss the 90s? To some Republicans, the Clintons are more evil than Hitler, Satan, and the Soviet Union combined. Imagine what we'd be doing if the Republicans were running Jeb and another, sane contender, and our nominee was Rahm Emanuel. Now, we hates us some Rahm on DU (at least some of us do) but I doubt there's anybody here who'd like anything less than seeing Jeb in the Oval Office.
