The ticket, Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton
Since I am still an Edwards supporter and haven't gotten into the frey about who's better between Clinton and Obama, I was thinking that after its all said and done at the Democratic party convention, whoever get's the Nomination, be it Clinton or Obama, the winner declares that other candidate as their running mate.. We could all kiss and make up and severely put the whoppin on the republican party they need..

So what do you all say??

Excuse me this has been discussed before.

1. There's no way that this would ever happen.
Obama isn't going to take 3rd wheel to Bill & Hillary. And HRC would never settle for VP, not that Obama would want her.

In the end, I think each candidate needs to pick someone that compliments their skill set - Obama might be that for HRC, but not the other way around. IMHO

9. I agree
In fact, I'd imagine a lot of potential VPs wouldn't want to join the Clinton tag team.

2. How would it benefit Obama to be veep on a losing ticket?
I too was an Edwards supporter and look what it did for him being a loer VP candidate. Obama has a bright future.

No 28 years of a Clinton or a Bush on the ticket is enough.
1981 - 1989 Reagan Bush
1989 - 1993 Bush Quayle
1993 - 2001 Clinton Gore
2001 - 2009 Bush Cheney

Besides why would Obama stop as he is winning to take
the # 2 job from Clinton?

peace

3. Hillary would never accept VP, so Obama/Clinton is out.
Clinton/Obama probably wouldn't happen, either - I'm sure she's already picked out who she wants as her VP, and I'm sure it's not Obama.

12. from all the rumour I hear, she's leaning toward Evan Bayh... he's passive. Bill will be pseudo vp
No matter who she chooses, that is what will happen. Yes, if something should happen to Hillary during her term if she wins that will make her unable to serve, the vp and not bill will step in, but for all practical purposes, her VP will be Bill. Everyone with a modicum of intelligence knows this. No one with ambitions for the presidency would ever take a vp spot with her. Obama would certainly say thanks but no thanks.

4. Methinks that decision is best left to the
candidates. Only they know they can work with.

6. Either of them would have much more effective careers by remaining in the Senate.
than serving as vice-president.

Look at all the good that Ted Kennedy has accomplished in the Senate since he had to give up his presidential ambitions. I really admire him because even with his health problems, he hangs in there. He could have led a life of total (and meaningless)privilege and leisure as do many of Bush's "have-more" supporters who inherited wealth.

7. Obama has nothing to gain by taking Clinton as vp
She would be a huge liability to him due to her high negatives.

10. No Clinton on the ticket. We don't want our President to meet the same fate as Ron Brown.
Ron died in a plane crash, but cause of death was a bullet to the head.

15. Ron Brown had a bullet hole in his head
That's a fact, just as it is a fact that Maggie Williams went through Foster's files after his suicide, and that Hillary "lost" records requested by prosecutor that were sitting in her office. These are not RW conspiracy tales, but undisputed facts.

The point is that Hillary has a lot baggage, some of which was never properly vetted.
