mccain giving us this advice should tells us loud and clear that HE expects to have a money problem. If Hillary is the nominee the same thing applies, DO NOT TAKE PUBLIC FUNDING. You can raise much more from us

1. Agreed. But the question is how he gets what he wants & still
looks good. The thing is his campaign's money power comes from small donors, which is hardly corrupting. It's kind of like de facto public financing, IMO.

3. I think he shouldn't. Why knuckle under to pressure? That will just
reinforce the notion that he's soft and naive. I actually think he'll look like a fiscally successful, politically savvy hardass by saying no. McCain has flip-flopped on enough issues to make it a draw, and does ANYONE think voters will care how the campaigns are financed? McCain has gone around his own CFR bill anyway--Obama will have plenty of ammo for counterattack.

4. Must Not! Or He Will be DOOMED When the Swift Boaters Attack
It will take BILLIONS to match what the Swift Boaters and their allies in the MSM will hit us with.

Do the math.

If every network gives the Repiggies an hour of free airtime every day for a month
(probably a low estimate), that is 30 days x 5 networks x 1 hour x 60 minutes = 9000 minutes.

National advertising time costs up to $1 million dollars a minute, but some is less so say half that.

9000 minutes = 4.5 BILLION dollars — though it is doubtful that the networks would sell us that much advertising time at ANY price.

And that is only ONE month.

5. John McCain: Pleeeeeze Mr. Obama, my friend, don't use all that money against me cuz I'm broke"
What a little crybaby big John McCain turned out to be.

Obama doesn't need to restrict himself to help McCain's broke campaign.

Ha!
