For those decrying sexism
Why aren't you also objecting to the constant referencing of Obama's middle name (Hussein). Obama does not go by his middle name, and the continued use of it is an obvious tactic to associate him with Muslims in the minds of voters. This is clearly a not-so-subtle racist tactic. If you are so up in arms about the apparent rampant sexism directed at Hillary, why aren't you as equally bothered by the rampant racism exhibited by Clinton supporters (and I'm not even talking about the black/white issue)?

1. It is actually a tactic to play on religious bigotry
as a recipient of anti-Muslim tirades, I think it is important to remember that Muslims come in all colors. And right now in this nation, there is a concerted effort by some (mostly right wing Christian fundamentalists) to demonize and discriminate against Muslims. I cannot even be overt about my faith for fear of losing my job. And within the past month, a mosque in Missouri was firebombed and destroyed.

3. Could You Define "Constant" Please?
As it pertains to DU?

About how many "Hussein" references do you see, on average, in GD: P per day, as used by those who are decrying sexism in the race?

Thanks.

4. I DO object to referencing Obama's middle name.
I don't object to the name itself, but to the attempts at association. It's low and the worst kind of slime. I don't see much of that on DU, however, and if I do, I speak out against it.

None of this makes sexism any less vile, and there IS a lot of that on DU, and in the media.

5. I object to that objectional tactic you are using.
can't come right out and say what you intend (obvious heavy smearing from camp Hillraiser), so you come on all so angry about how people call him "muslim', and you are sooooo upset for him and how silly people are.

I've seen that used here so often, and by people that are supposedly so well 'respected' and eldered.

phffffft!

6. my middle name is "Wayne"
and "Wayne" is the most common middle name of serial killers

thus, I too am a serial killer

makes perfect sense, doesn't it?

:silly:
