Watching Hillary try to morph herself into an inspirational speaker is painful
She should really just be herself. The constant morphing is obvious and makes her seem fake. She acts as though she doesn't believe in herself when she does it.

She has plenty to be proud of herself for. It may not be enough to get her elected but it wouldn't be nearly as embarrassing as this constant reframing of herself.

3. I thought it was one of her best speeches.
The themes were altered, some borrowed, but frequently she showed up person underneath, without the blizzard of spin, false crescendo's and whatever their focus groups applauded in a small rooms.

4. I thought Hillary was awesome tonite.
She talks to the audience, she doesn't preach to them.

I really enjoy listening to her.

5. You know, guys, this stuff has got to stop.
Hillary Clinton is an accomplished person and she would make a fine president. If she loses, let it be for some other reason than the delivery of a speech, or because her hair is out of place, or because some pundit thinks she looks wooden, or because she drinks the wrong beer.

At this point, I would be happy if either one wins, as long as they both are willing to give John Edwards a position where he can do this country some good.

6. Edwards is already in a position to do this country some good.
He withdrew from the race.

15. What a spiteful thing to say.
And who are you supporting so that I can recognize the kind of mentality that's supporting that candidate?

7. I saw her on nightline a couple of weeks ago and she was fantastic
she was engaging and personable, approachable. If they hadn't tried to package her and just let her be herself it wouldnt have been a campaign.

tonight she was ackward at times and the crowd that wanted to stand up and yell for her was quiet. Watching her and Obama at the same time is a little like watching a good college team against a great professional team.

Obama is just getting better and better from a public speaking point of view and he is adapting his message to counter every objection that they throw at him. His delivery is getting more and more honed while they are still trying out different messages with Hillary.

One of the interesting things that came out a couple of times in Obama's speech is that at times he is pissed at having to answer some of this stuff over and over and when he gets pissed he has this steely strength that looks well, presidential.

The strange conclusion I had watching Obama in Wisconsin is that this system, oddly enough, is actually working. We are seeing a politician with certain gifts grow in stature before our eyes. Having seen parts of the speech several times I am amazed that he gives it in a way that is fresh and more compelling each time.

8. Yea
It amazes me that even though I've heard his stump speech a number of times, I'm still able to enjoy it. It always starts and ends the same, but the stuff in the middle is always adapted to whatever the situation is at the time, or it's switched up to counter whatever arguments are being made against him at that time. It's a really smart way of handling things.

10. And what is funny - is that I, like others, don't see it.
I do not enjoy listening to him at all. He makes me feel like I am in church.

17. They did the same thing to Gore. Made him so self-conscious that he
couldn't be himself. Hillary just needs to decide that the only way to win, is to be a REAL person and she needs to do what feels comfortable. If she can get in touch with that person *and* if that person is the person you saw on nightline, then she has a shot to escape all the insignificant crap that sunk Al Gore.

20. I enjoyed her speech.
She spoke to issues.

Soaring rhetoric is not the be all and end all that some of you seem to fall for without in-depth thought or reason.

21. I actually loved her speech last night. Your attempt to belittle her, on the other hand
is disgusting, despite your feint (faux) praise

I really don't know how someone with as much disrespect for Clinton as you express here would know ANYTHING about who Hillary Clinton really is.
